90% OF CHICKS DIG IT
There's Just Something About It...
I was so excited to try my Premier Protein Chocolate Shake after receiving it from #ChickAdvisor. This product has the exact qualities I look for in a protein shake: low in sugar and calories, with a good amount of protein to it - and with only 1g of sugar, 160 cals and 30g of protein per serving, it definitely checked all the boxes! Which is why I was so disappointed once I actually got to try the shake. The colour and the texture of the shake are just fine - it looks just like low-fat chocolate milk - and it feels good in the mouth because it's nice and fluid, rather than thick or powdery. The taste is where this product let me down. At first sip, the drink tastes chocolatey, but right as soon as I swallowed it my mouth was filled with this odd flavour that reminded me of over cooked canned corn. Not nice. The drink smells a bit odd too - it has a starchy smell to it, which it really weird. I'm thinking it might be the protein in the drink that I can taste and smell. It really is too bad because between the smell and the taste of this shake, it totally put me off the drink and so I won't be purchasing them in the future. I just did not find it enjoyable at all.

Not worth the expense
I disliked this flavour. It had a strange taste that overpowered the chocolate flavour. I would prefer this product to be thicker in consistency like a "shake."
I will not purchase this product and will not recommend it. I received this product for free from Chick Advisor.
I wanted to like this but...
I liked the nutrition information of this, especially the 30 grams of protein and low sugar (1 gram) along with the calorie content but could not get past the taste or medicinal smell. It was also very thin and watery.
I would not purchase this product or recommend it.
I received a free sample from Chick Advisor.
Not for me
I wasn't a big fan of the taste of it. It felt a little chalky, or powdery if that makes any sense. I have tasted other protein shakes before that didn't taste like this. It might only be, but unfortunately pass. Thank you to Chick Advisor for sending me these for free though! Y'all are awesome.
No thanks!
I tried to like this product but could not. This shake had a very strong taste which I could not overcome. Even though it was flavored chocolate, I could not get around the strong aftertaste.
Not bad
Received this as a free sample thru Chick Advisor. The shake was not bad. Not super great but not bad either. Not very chalky (this is good) and super chocolatey (which is good too lol). I don't know if I would buy these as I don't typically drink protein shakes but I am glad to try them
Good value protein drink
Had my boyfriend try this as he’s used several protein drinks before and can better rate its taste and effectiveness.
He liked the chocolate flavour over the vanilla (usually it’s the other way around), but did find it tasted quite watery. He liked that it wasn’t sweet, but also didn’t find it very filling (perhaps somewhat due to the thin consistency) compared to higher-quality drinks.
He suggested he would buy this again, to use after a light workout, like an afternoon hiking or kayaking, but not to recover after a full workout or strenuous activity.
I couldn’t drink it.
Unfortunately my stomach did not agree with either shakes. I wasn’t able to drink them. I had one of each despite the way my stomach handled them. The product tastes great. I specifically like the chocolate one.
But my tummy does not agree with the shakes at all!
1 g of sugar
I really wanted to like the chocolate, being such a chocoholic, and loving a good chocolate shake. But the first sip wasn't good, and it didn't get better. I drank a bit before, during & after my workout, but couldn't finish the bottle. The strong artificial taste and Sucralose was heavily present. There just wasn't enough chocolate flavour. I didn't care for the after taste. The best thing about it is there's just 1 g of sugar, but 160 cals is too high for a drink for me. Perhaps using it in recipes would mask the artificialness.
I think after also reviewing Boost High Protein, I can say that protein shakes aren't for me. I'd rather drink chocolate milk at less calories, 140, and a true chocolate taste.
They can average at under $2 each, which sounds like a good price.
I got it free from ChickAdvisor Product Review Club.
