Starbucks rebranded.
Starbucks makes this coffee. I like it. Bought a whole bunch last year before the prices went up. Paid 5.99 and got a great deal. Now seen it on sale for 9,99 all coffee prices have gone way up. This is good coffee. Never afraid to buy it. People comparing it to Maxwell house great value Foldgers etc you can't. It's much better. Luckily now with 300 stars needed to get a pound of coffee at Starbucks may not be buying as much for coffee beans.
Major Price jump!!
This has been our coffee of choice for the past 3 years. We buy the tins and use reusable pods. We could often find it on sale for $6.99 which was a great price for house brand. Now, I realize the price of everything has gone up, but a whopping 300% increase is a bit extreme. I can’t find it for less than $18.99/ tin!! Too steep for house brand imo.
Sadly disappointed
I purchase this coffee consistently as I love the taste. Recently though I have found too many pods blowing up in my Keurig leaving coffee grounds everywhere. So disappointing as it's such a great tasting coffee. Too much money wasted on pods that don't work. I am all for saving the environment however, this is getting annoying and expensive
Our go to coffee
My husband and I enjoy this coffee. We enjoy the flavor and don’t find it bitter. It’s also available in pods which are 100% compostable. You can sometime find this on sale and def grab yourself a-couple can cause it sells out quick
My Coffee of Choice
Always a good cup, even if I add too much or too little to the filter (mornings, am I right?). Never tastes too bitter nor burnt, goes well with all milk and milk alternatives I have tried. I especially like it with almond milk, and really enjoy it with coconut milk when I am feeling a little more decadent. Huge tins are often on sale too! Great value and great taste. My favorite coffee by far.
Great coffee, good value when on sale
First of all, I don't use Keurig / K-cups intentionally. I am sticking to my French Press. Those K-cups cost too much for our environment, I won't sacrifice the environment for a bit of extra convenience.
So what this review is for PC Great Canadian coffee ground, not for the K-cup version.
In my opinion, this coffee tastes lighter than Folgers and Maxwell House, and of course Starbucks. I find it has a good "body", it's balanced. Good value when it goes on sale (I bought it when it was around $8 per tin, so just a bit more money than other grocery coffee brands).
I bought this coffee in Jan 2020 for the 1st time, so I don't know what it tasted like before as some reviewers complain that the taste has changed over the years.
Great taste, value & quality
We were sceptical at first that a store brand coffee could be this good. Tried it when it went on sale and couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase. At the $14+ regular price, it's not worth it. About $6 on sale, it is.
Especially with the price of arabica beans at a decades LOW of $0.99c/lb.
Oh pod no!
I have only had a keurig for around 6 months so am still delving into the world of pods but these ones i delved right outta!
I found too many granules in the bottom of my mug - something i find when the pod doesnt have the plastic surround (just the filter paper). I know i know save the environment and all but you what...this is coffee and if its not working for me it aint working.
Shame as these were a good price.
Canadian
Mmm I recently discovered this drink from a PR company and am glad I tried it. It’s quickly become one of my favs. Best of all, it is Canadian from Presidents Choice and so accessible through superstore, etc. Excellent taste, yum yum!
Every Morning!
We purchase this coffee only when it is on sale, and we stock up! Typically the price is around $14-16 which is fairly pricy for a tin of coffee. On sale we typically pay around $6. We have switched from Maxwell House to PC Great Canadian and will not go back.
