Meh

Very good thin potato chowder. Maybe I got a bad can: I do have another to try. The flavour is good, not too peppery like some, but very thin. And the potato to clam ratio is bad. Now, I did grow up with real New England chowder, but even the other canned brands are better than this. I have always loved PC's quality by value, but in this, I would rather pay the extra $ to get a rich, clammy experience.

Best Canned I have had since Snow's left the market

I'm super impressed with this canned chowder. I only noticed it a couple of months ago, and was so impressed I bought a case. For a canned chowder, this has a high clam count, a reasonable amount of potato slices, and takes a little extra lemon juice and salt and/ or pepper perfectly.
I have started to add heavy whipping cream and a little chopped celery as well to brighten it. Super good.

This is a ready to serve soup which is great because you dont have to add any liquids. The soup tastes nice and the pieces of clam and other ingredients are just the right size.
