No difference between these or the name brand. Will always choose this brand in jbaking or for our morning breakfast. My kids tried both and said the same thing.

Suitable for vegans!

These are dairy free! So it’s great if someone can’t eat dairy or is vegan. Here’s an easy vegan recipe for you: take a container of BettyCrocker French Vanilla icing, the equivalent amount of peanut butter and a couple handfuls of these chocolate chips. Melt in the microwave, stir together and spread out in a casserole dish. Put in the freezer and after it’s set, cut into small bites. Best fudge ever!

I'm pleasantly surprised with the high quality of flavor. They taste just as good as the brand names, if not better. They are not waxy, they melt perfectly. The semi-sweet is the perfect mix of sweet and bitter. I used this in a banana chip loaf and pumpkin chip cookies and they tasted delicious. They border on pricey for a store brand but they are worth it. If you can find them on sale, stock up.
