This movie is a 'classic', but like most classic's it doesn't hold up under a modern eye without the nostalgia to help it along. Gere and Roberts are both fine actors, but the premise of the story is at best flawed and with a modern feminist eye, it's hard to see Gere's character as a hero or a love interest anyone would want!

A great classic movie. A woman who spends the night with a man who decides to treat her with more respect to make her realize she deserves better because the line of work she does. She ends up falling in love.

Pretty Woman is a classic movie and the two actors have good chemistry. It's a neat plot point, different for its time I believe. The moral of the story is pretty predictable, but it's still worth a watch.

In this modern update on Cinderella, a prostitute and a wealthy businessman fall hard for one another, forming an unlikely pair. While on a business trip in L.A., Edward (Richard Gere), who makes a living buying and breaking up companies, picks up a hooker, Vivian (Julia Roberts), on a lark. After Edward hires Vivian to stay with him for the weekend, the two get closer, only to discover there are significant hurdles to overcome as they try to bridge the gap between their very different worlds.

What a great movie! Never judge a book by its cover because you never truly know a person until you get to know them. Vivian is in for the ride of her life when she meets Edward. A true Cinderella story that will have you cheering for Vivian.
