As far as acne treatments go, I've found success with this product. It works well to dry out blemishes and tighten pores. I found that it can leave a pasty look to your face so its best to use a toner after and follow with a moisturizer.

I've had problem skin since I was in my teens...oily and dry patches on my face, pimples, etc. Decided to buy proactive and never had any regrets about using the products. One product in particular, their refining mask was a standout for me. I never really used it as a mask, but used it as a spot treatment when pesky breakouts occurred. Whenever I had a pimple, I would simply apply some of the mask, leave it for a few minutes and then wash it off. By the next morning, the pimple would already be less noticeable! I love this product; would definitely recommend it.

of all the Proativ product, this one was probably the best that I tried. I used it as a mask, but also as a spot treatment (overnight) for bad pimples. It did help reduce my acne.

My brother uses Proactive, and has multiples of this mask. He gave me one, and I love it! I use every couple weeks as mask on my forehead, nose and chin, and use it as a spot treatment whenever I see a pimple coming. It is VERY strong, and I nice had a reaction using the Vasanti scrub the day after I had used this mask. It can also be very drying. It does however make your pores less visible and your skin glow.

if you want to get rid of blemishes overnight,this is the mask for you!!!! you are supposed to apply it,wait for 10 minutes,and rinse it off,but i find that leaving it on your blemishes overnight gets rid of them almost completely by the morning. it may cost more than a drugstore mask but it is well worth it considering how fast you see results :)

This mask often comes as the free ad-on with the Proactiv products. It is thick, white and smelly. It makes sense that its smelly since its a sulfur base. It really does shrink down any bumps on my face and makes my skin feel smooth and taught. I don't generally sleep with it... when I do my skin is over-dry and has a white coat which is hard to remove.I think overnight it would be best as a spot treatment, while I use it globally for 15-30 minutes. A little goes a long way, so it lasts. Since it works I'm giving it good marks, but its not the most fun product to use.

I was finally swayed by the commercials to try the proactive system. My final verdict on the whole system is that it works well and as advertised ... as long as you follow the directions exactly and you don't miss a day. For that reason the full cost was not worth it for me. However, I did fall in love with the Proactive Refining Mask. I am sure that little tube is filled with magic! All I have to do is dab it on those trouble spots or if I feel a pimple forming and in the morning the spot is visibly smaller, flatter and much easier to cover up.

I will definitely continue to buy this item.

I really like this mask, but I just use it as an overnight spot treatment rather than putting it all over my face. It contains sulphur, so it smells pretty gross, but you get used to it. My boyfriend calls it "the fart mask" lol. While this doesn't make EVERY zit disappear overnight, it almost always reduces redness and size without over-drying.

This refining mask is super helpful in drying out cystic acne without drying out your skin. Personally, I use the Proactiv facial cleanser, toner and cream every day and it is the ONLY thing that has kept my acne under control. Seriously...even when I was on vacation and slathering my face with SPF 55, which would normally make me break out like mad, Proactiv kept me clear. This is HG stuff!
