Maybe for some people proactiv is effective but for me it did not work well. I have mild/moderate acne that occurs at certain "special" times throughout the month... I tried using proactiv daily but it did not work for me. At first I thought it was working but then the effects seemed to wear off. Maybe my skin became immune to it.

I have combination skin with moderate acne and some blemishes. I have used Proactiv for about 1 month and I'm truly amazed at the results I have seen so far. Before using Proactiv I cleanse and moisturize my face for about a week as I feel this is important before introducing your skin to any new products. Then I started my Proactiv Regimen. I set-up hours that were easy to remember as I wanted my skin to adjust so I chose 11:00 am and 7:00pm. I used a very small amount as I don't feel comfortable putting a whole lot of product on my face as more doesn't = better. A small amount goes along way plus it will let you know if you have any allergic reactions.

After a few weeks I seen great results and I am very pleased however it didn't really remove some of the dark spots left behind from previous pimple marks but it has definitely worked to my satisfaction.

I have struggled with rosacea/acne since I was 11 yo. I finally decided a few months ago to try proactiv. It was great for the first 10 days, and then after that the breakouts started again. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it

I ordered Pro Active from the TV, I paid about $25.00 for the 3 step Kit, which contained cleanser, toner and repairing lotion. I used Proactiv for about a month and I had the worst breakout I've ever had. BIG red zits all over my face and many smaller ones around them and on my forehead. My skin was completely dried out and felt so unbalanced. I have never felt so bad about my skin. Very disappointing. Maybe works for some people. I regret that I tried it.

I tried it, and stuck with it for a while. I heard that it takesa while to start working but it didn't work for me. My problem has always been oily skin, and this made it so dry that when I put on face cream it would clog my pores.
So overal: Takes too long, doesn't work, not the best product out there, and I don't recommend it.

But I do recommend Terminix 10, it works great!

Um.. I don't even know what to say except that it GAVE me pimples and I started breaking out almost immediate after using it.

That being said, I'm thinking that it probably didn't work for me because I didn't have severe enough acne, I don't know. From the commercials, I saw people that had the same type of acne I had, and it worked for them. The only answer I would have to that is that, each individual is different and ... their chemical makeup is different so not everyone will respond the same.

I personally wouldn't recommend it to any of my girlfriends, but I wouldn't stop them from trying it either because even though it made my situation worse, it clearly has worked for some people so.. yeah.

Oh Proactive why are you such a disappointment?

I bought this set as a show stopper on the Canadian shopping channel. After hearing so much about proactive and how it got rid of everyone’s acne.

This was such a disappointment. It made my acne worse!
The cleanser was way to harsh and felt like I was ripping my skin off. It didn't clean at all.
The toner was just like water!
The moisturizer made my skin feel drier.
And the mask did nothing but clog my pores.

For the price I paid I was hoping for more. It seemed like there was just too many fillers in the products.
I DO NOT recommend this stuff to anyone! 60 dollars down the drain.

I have been using this product for about 2 years now and it seems to be the only facial cleanser that really works for my skin type. I already have nice skin but I manage to keep acne and pimples from ever coming up by using Proactiv every single day. The cleansing scrub works wonders when i use it in the shower. I have a reddish tone to my very fair complexion and the toner makes my skin glow and keeps my face from feeling dry and flakey which otherwise I would look like a snake shedding all over the place. I too am in a love affair with Proactiv Solution!

As with most people, I was convinced by the infomercials. I decided to try it out, at the time I was breaking out from stress and I needed a solution. This only seemed to make my acne worse! However, I have very sensitive skin- perhaps the product was too strong for me. It made my skin drier and I actually had more pimples than before I gave it a try. I regret paying what I paid for it, and actually found an acne solution that was much cheaper and more effective.

This product really cleared my skin. The repairing lotion is kinda drying so I had to use another moisturiser. It cleared my acne and tightened my pores.
