glowing soothed skin

Like recommended, I used these twice a week but I honestly had to hold myself from using them every single day. I wore them about 20 minutes before going to bed, to wake up with the most intense beautiful glow I’ve ever gotten from a sheet mask. But the thing that really sold them to me was the fact that they didn’t enrage my sensitive acne-prone skin at all. A true classic for me, when I use a moisturizing face mask at night, is to wakeup with a few new angry red friends. However, these just left my skin glowing and my skin tone evened. I'll leave you a before and after picture (excuse my sleepy morning face) and a little boomerang to show you that glow.

C'est écrit pour peaux sensibles ... mais dès le début de l'application , je ressentais une sensation de brulures légère et picotement ( j'ai vraiment une peau sensible :P ) bref je me suis dit que ça devais être a cause de l'exfolient et j'ai fini d'appliquer le tout ! J'ai rapidement ressentis le durcissement du masque sur mon visage !!! Au bout de 10 min top chrono , je le retirais facilement tout en exfolient ma peau ! aucune rougeur ou signe d'irritation , la peau toute douce et il me semble que mon teint semblais beaucoup plus lumineux !! Je vais clairement l'intégré a ma routine beauté!

This moisturizer is a little on the pricier side, however it does do a great job moisturizing. I have very sensitive skin and this moisturizer does it's job without any breakouts or irritation. It goes on smooth and does not make my skin feel oily at all. Despite the price point, moisturizers do last a long time and I would purchase it again.

As for the long term effects and whether or not it does help with preventive aging is uncertain to me. I am still young and do not have any fine line or wrinkles yet, however I do believe in prevention and moisture is one step in the right direction. As to how effective "prevention" is, is very uncertain.

So I love my face masks.

I saved Purlisse for a pre-bath pampering, and loved every minute of it!

The mask is easy to place and very pliable - it's about 1mm thick, but does not feel scratchy once pressed down onto your skin.

I felt a light cooling sensation while applying the mask, and the scent was divine! I love light airy scents, and this fits the bill.

I did feel like my skin felt exfoliated and vibrant afterwards - much better than other masks I have tried in the past.

Unfortunately, the price point is quite high - I can get a full container of clay face mask for multiple uses from Lush for the same price as one of these one time use face masks.

In terms of scent and moisturising effect, these masks were pretty standard, leaving my skin nice and soft and moisturised while providing a relaxing and cooling sensation during use. The Seaweed mask actually left a little bit of a burning sensation afterwards so I wouldn't recommend that one for sensitive skin.

Where I found they differed from regular sheet masks is that rather than being soaked in liquid, they felt very slimy/almost gel like in consistency. This had both pros and cons. Pro: You can wear the mask while sitting upright as it sticks to the face very well.

Con: It feels slimy and unpleasant after removing and there is too much gel to rub in well.

I would consider using them again, but not my favourite.
