This product smelled amazing when I first opened it. I was so excited that I made a cup of tea right away. I find the loose leaves give more flavour to the tea, which is something that I really like. I like how it has a strong black tea flavour and then it has a nice light vanilla flavour after taste. This tea is perfect on a cold winter day! I will definitely buy this product again and I look forward to trying new flavours!

Great quality tea...However I did not like the vanilla in it though. I found it was too much! Not for me but I am sure others would like it though! Try it and see for yourself

This is my new favorite team. I love the subtle taste of vanilla. I tried it over ice today and omg it was good. This is perfect to serve over the holidays and a little goes a long way. The packaging will last me a while so that's a bonus. Thank you chickadvisor for giving me the chance to try this free.

I really like this loose long leaf tea. It was very good quality. I'm not much for vanilla flavor in tea, but this was really good. The ingredients taste really fresh and strong. I'm going to buy more the next time I go shopping. I think this might be my new favorite brand.

Ce thé est merveilleusement bon. Le goût de vanille n'est pas trop prononcé, il est juste assez présent pour l'apprécier. Une petite quantité de thé est suffisante pour avoir un bon thé.

J'ai recu #gotitfree via ChickAdvisor ce thé pour en faire l'essai, un gros merci, et voici mon avis. Je ne bois habituellement pas de thé noir car je croyais que ce serait trop fort au gout mais je me trompais. Le gout du thé est bien présent sans etre trop amer et le petit gout de vanille vient ajouter la petite touche qui fait qu'apres avoir bu une tasse vous en voudrai surement une autre.

There are a few categories I would like to review for this product:

#1 - The Packaging: It is as pretty and appealing as the actual loose leaf tea inside. The style of the jar in which this product comes in is very stylish and looks good on the counter in your kitchen instead of hiding in the cupboard. The lid is easy to open, but closes tight, keeps a seal, therefore keeping the tea nice and fresh. Also, the container is clear, so you can see what's inside. They also let you know how to brew the best cup of tea with simple instructions.

#2 - The Price: I went to Walmart and Pure Leaf's Website. The cost for 125 grams is $8.47, which works out to 7 cents a gram. Great Price. You get an amazing amount of tea for the cost. Totally worth it. Most loose leaf teas are priced way higher, and that doesn't always mean quality. Bagged tea in the grocery store usually comes in 40-50 gram packages only.

#3 - The Taste: The quality comes out in the flavor and taste. I definitely taste "PURE TEA". There is nothing else added. This particular tea I found tasted a bit better when it was just warm. The Vanilla notes really came out and the black tea tones calmed down a bit (being warm as opposed to hot). The Marigold Petals are infused in this tea to, also known as "Calendula". Good for tummy aches, eases stress, and gastritis and ulcers. The Marigold doesn't give much to the flavor of the tea, but for therapeutic reasons instead.

#4 - The Tea Leaf inside the Jar: I really like that the label states where the tea originated. I like that this tea comes from Kenya, and is a single leaf tea, (not blended with tea leaves from all over the place), because each region tea leaves come from have their unique and original taste and strengths. I have enjoyed this tea morning, afternoon and after dinner. It is a black tea, so it naturally contains caffeine.

#5 - Pure Leaf as a Company: This company started in 1991 when Unilever joined with Pepsi-Co. Their website shows about the company, the teas, sustainability, stories and recipes. It seems you can also order directly from their website as well. I couldn't find much more, but they do advertise that they are Rain forest Alliance Certified, so I appreciate that.

There is only two changes I would like to see, One is that the jars are made of glass instead of plastic. Hopefully one day they may make the switch, and that you can just order that same tea to refill your current glass jar. The price might go up, but it is more environmental and sustainable. Also, glass is clean and doesn't possess any negatives plastic products can have. Second, to show on the label the caffeine content of each different tea. I think people enjoy learning interesting facts about the products they are buying and like reading the labels before purchasing.

I really enjoy this tea, and am really exited to see where Pure Leaf Co. takes themselves. I will definitely buy this tea again and again.
