I really enjoyed having the opportunity to try this product. I drink earl grey tea almost everyday, although usually I use tea bags so I was really excited to try loose long leaves. I thought the loose leaves gave the tea more flavour than the tea bags. I definitely will not be going back to the tea bags and will be sticking with the loose leaves from now on. I will continue using this product and will be buying more in the future!

I received this product for free from ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest opinion!

This tea is sooooo good. I loved it. I have never tasted an earl grey that was so fresh. It's great, perfect with a slice of lemon or milk. I'm going to buy this again for sure. I am so happy I got to try it. I never knew how good a good cup of tea could be.

The tea has a refreshing taste and slightly bitter. Love it!

I got this product FREE from Chick Advisor to try and I am a very happy participant !!

There are a few categories I would like to review for this product:

#1 - The Packaging: It is as pretty and appealing as the actual loose leaf tea inside. The style of the jar in which this product comes in is very stylish and looks good on the counter in your kitchen instead of hiding in the cupboard. The lid is easy to open, but closes tight, keeps a seal, therefore keeping the tea nice and fresh. Also, the container is clear, so you can see what's inside. They also let you know how to brew the best cup of tea with simple instructions. Each different tea is almost color coded too. This Earl Grey has a bright blue label and the Black Tea w/ Vanilla has a beige/vanilla colored label. You know immediately what one your grabbing without reading. Plus it looks good.

#2 - The Price: I went to Walmart and Pure Leaf's Website. The cost for 125 grams is $8.47, which works out to 7 cents a gram. Great Price. You get an amazing amount of tea for the cost. Totally worth it. Most loose leaf teas are priced way higher, and that doesn't always mean quality. Bagged tea in the grocery store usually comes in 40-50 gram packages only.

#3 - The Taste: The quality comes out in the flavor and taste. I definitely taste "PURE TEA". There is nothing else added. I can smell the Bergamot, which is unique to an Earl Grey tea, and I like that it isn't too strong so it doesn't over power the smoothness and citrus flavors of this tea. I usually go for an English or Irish Breakfast tea, as most Earl Grey Tea's are too light , but this Earl Grey from Pure Leaf is amazing. Totally changed my idea of and Earl Grey Tea. I like that it is stronger than other Earl Grey Tea's I've had. I always add sugar and cream to my black teas, and this Earl Grey turns a beautiful caramel color and does not appear weak. The flavor really comes out when you let this tea cool a bit. If you drink it too hot, you won't taste the true flavors of this tea. I really enjoy this tea.

#4 - The Tea Leaf inside the Jar: I really like that the label states where the tea originated. I like that this tea comes from Sri Lanka and only Sri Lanka, is a single leaf tea, and not blended with tea leaves from all over the place, Sri Lanka is known for their "Ceylon" Tea which is the basis for Earl Grey Tea. Ceylon tea is known for its "citrus" notes and is made from the base of the tea leaf. Each region tea leaves come from have their unique and original taste and strengths. The "Blue Petals", or Cornflower Petals add a therapeutic aspect as opposed to effecting the taste. Cornflower is good for acne, anxiety, and immune function, and also gives a visual experience more than taste. The same goes for the Marigold which is good for ulcers and tummy aches. I have enjoyed this tea morning, afternoon and after dinner. It is a black tea, so it naturally contains caffeine, but less than other black teas. It is so beautiful, the dark green, bright yellow and pretty blue leaves. Try this tea in a clear mug !!

#5 - Pure Leaf as a Company: This company started in 1991 when Unilever joined with Pepsi-Co. Their website shows about the company, the teas, sustainability, stories and recipes. It seems you can also order directly from their website as well. I couldn't find much more, but they do advertise that they are Rain forest Alliance Certified, so I appreciate that.

There is only one change I would like to see, is that the Tea comes in Glass Jars instead of plastic. That might bring up the price though, and then it does become breakable, but glass is clean and has no issues that so much plastic causes in our world. It would be cool then for Pure Leaf Co. to sell "Refill's". You just order it bulk, and use your old jar to refill into. I guess you could still do that with the current jar too though.

I am really happy to have been given this product FREE from CHICKADVISOR to try and review. I will definitely be buying this along with trying another flavor along with trying Pure Leaf's Pyramid Tea's as well.

The long leaves are perfect. They dont go through the tea ball ending up in your mug.
