Let me start by saying I #gotitfree to try in exchange for an honest review. Now I'm usually a fan of fruity or sweet teas but this one was surprisingly good. It has a mild woodsy taste and is light and clean with no bitterness which can sometimes happen with green tea. I like loose teas and this one was excellent. The leaves were large clusters so no bits fell through my infuser and a little went a long way. Considering the container is pretty big, I would say this tea will last you a while. If you like a simple, pure green tea I'd say give this a try. Bonus: it is great for digestion so if you've had one too many Christmas cookies brew a cup or two of this and your stomach will thank you!

When I saw it was the gunpowder green tea, I wished it was the vanilla one that I was going to get to try. I didn't love it as much as the green tea with jasmine but I did like it. So much easier when it is in a sachet. I believe I put too much in my tea infuser which made it quite strong, have to watch that next time.

The Pure Leaf Gunpowder Green Tea Loose Long Leaf definitely had a different taste than what I'm used to, but not bad! It was good but I do prefer the Pure Leaf Green Tea with Jasmine, pyramid bags.

I was very happy to receive this for free to try, as I have not tried many teas. As soon as you open the container you can smell just how fragrant is it. This is also my first time having loose tea, so I did have to go out and get a infuser as I figured it would be best to have one. I really enjoyed the taste of this tea, it was very smooth and pleasant. I am not sure how much it goes for, but I would definitely recommend this to any one. My mother (who loves tea), said it was one of the best green teas she has tried (and she is not a huge fan of green tea), but she really liked this one. The only thing I would suggest, is for this to come in a tin or glass jar so that it can be reused and reduce waste. Seriously this is one of the best teas that I have tasted! I didn't find it to have a bitter taste, it was quite smooth and as a regular tea drinker I'm so happy to have found my newest go to green tea. Anyone who loves a good cup of tea should give this a try. I can tell it's going to become a staple in my tea cupboard. I LOVE my green tea's, and this was the first time I have ever tried loose tea like this before. Pure leaf gunpowder green tea is a great tasting tea, It was smooth and had no bitterness to it at all. I used it the first time without a tea infuser and thought I would end up with floating tea leafs but i did not, they stayed at the bottom and didn't end up in my mouth :) I enjoyed my first cup so I went out and purchased a tea infuser for this specific tea and am 100% satisfied with Pure Leaf Gunpowder Green Tea Loose Long Leaf. I will definitely be buying more before I run out!!

This tea is nice and fragrant. I am a green tea fanatic and I have to say, I was not pleased with my first cup. The instructions it gives, made the tea too strong and I found it very bitter tasting. However, I made another cup and used less leaves and it was perfect. Without an extra flavour, it is a bit more bitter, so you have to like plain green tea. All in all, I am pleased with it.
