    Mmmatcha!

This Pure Leaf Matcha Tea has been my go-to for the last couple of weeks and I have already purchased more! I am typically a coffee drinker, but this tea was a nice change and it still gave me the energy I needed to go about my day. I've already recommended this tea to some friends and they've been digging it, too! I've also been making lattes with it and they are so good! You can tell the tea is real and made-up of high quality ingredients. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. Thanks to Pure Leaf and Chickadvisor!

    so impressed with this matcha!

To be completely honest, this is by far the best matcha tea packet I have tried to date! The flavor is not too overpowering and I just love how easy it is to make. It also comes with so many packets! At this quality and value, I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

    Delicious!

I was sooo excited to try matcha for the first time! I wasn’t really a fan of it as a hot drink but I looked up how to make it as an iced latte and omg it is sooo good! Very tasty. I love the single use packets as well so I can take it on the go. I recieved this product complimentary for reviewing purposes.

    Matcha Not For Me!

I was given the PURE LEAF PURE MATCHA TEA SACHETS to try for free from ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest opinion and I was excited because I had never tried matcha before! Pure Leaf uses high quality Tencha green leaves from Japanese plants that are cultivated especially for matcha tea - once again, Pure Leaf uses the highest quality ingredients to solidify their position in the tea market! I have talked to people who enjoy matcha and they said that it almost has an "earthy" taste which really intrigued me. Well, earthy is right! I knew from the moment I opened the package that I was not going to enjoy the flavour profile. It had almost like a seaweed taste that I had a really hard time trying to choke down. As someone who has never had matcha, I really didn't have anything to compare it to so I gave a package to one of my friends who drinks matcha regularly and she said that although it's a little strong, it's very comparable to other matcha that she has had in the past. Matcha is a great antioxidant that has an abundance of detoxifying, metabolism boosting and calming properties so I really wanted to try again and see if I could make the matcha work for me. I tried mixing it with warm milk, almond milk, coconut milk, honey, sugar... you name it. The most delicious combination for me was the coconut milk and the honey. It helped get rid of the seaweed taste but did not change my overall opinion of matcha as a drink - I did however throw some of the powder in my morning smoothie to still get the added benefits of matcha and IT WORKED! No earthy taste, just some awesome matcha powder doing its thing behind the scenes! I will continue to add it to my smoothies as I like the added health benefits.

In regards to matcha preparation, I really enjoyed the fact that the matcha came in pre packaged individual sachets so beginners like me know exactly how much to use. You open the package, add some water and whisk away! I didn't have a matcha whisk but I did go and buy a little baby whisk from the dollar store and I found that the matcha really clumped at the bottom of my cup. I tried with a fork the next time and I still got the same result. I know they have actual matcha whisks but the packaging said one was not necessary for this product. I am not convinced LOL. Lastly, mine did not froth as much as matcha is supposed to. Maybe it was my technique or the supplies I was using, but overall matcha did not go over well with me.

I could not find this product in my local grocery store so I cannot comment on price, but I have saw online that they retail for about $8-$9 which I feel is a little bit of a high price point. Overall, I am glad I got the experience to try matcha tea as it is a huge craze right now. For me, I will keep my matcha in my smoothies and out of my hot beverage lineup.

you can drink it hot or cold

I received this Pure Leaf Tea product complimentary for testing purposes. I really like how it comes in the little packets. The first time I tried it I had it with hot water which tasted really nice. The second time, I blended it with almond milk and it turns into a nice sweet creamy milk tea! So you can be creative with how you drink this matcha green tea!

    Good Tea

Pure Leaf Pure Matcha tea sachets

I was excited to try this one out, as I've never had matcha before. I wanted to try it because I have heard how good it is for you, and is very high in antioxidants. I like to drink my coffee, teas etc, without dairy and sweeteners, so drinking this plain was a little difficult for me. I found that it has a very earthy, "seaweed-ish" aroma to it that found hard to get around, even though it just tasted like regular tea. With sugar it was a little better, and with the addition of milk even more so. My preferred way was to dissolve it in a bit of hot water, and add steamed almond milk and honey. It tasted like a normal tea latte, and the earthy aroma was definitely muted this way.

Overall, I did like it. I would repurchase it for the health benefits of matcha tea, but would drink whenever I wanted a sweet treat. I would also recommend it to friends and family who are tea lovers.

The most portable easy to use matcha

I am pretty picky on matcha, I tend to get ceremonial matcha directly from japan. So while Pure Leaf isn't the best matcha $ can buy, you are getting at a grocery or drug store and it's only $7.99 to $8.99 (vs me normally spending $40-50 on a small tin when I got to Japan).

What do I think? Well it's definitely good portable matcha packets! The flavour is still matcha like. As a $8-$9 product it'll get the job done....and since when you are on the go, you aren't likely to be making matcha with quality water at the right temperature and using boiled tap water...it's a waste to use a higher grade anyways. So yes, good on the go, not something you would want to drink for quality or a tea ceremony, but fine for a tea latte and such where you can get away with lower quality.

I got this product for free but my opinions are my own.

    Good tasting Matcha

I am no matcha connoisseur but I really enjoyed the Pure Leaf Matcha Tea.

I enjoyed that it was in individual packets/ sachet. It mixes easily. I used a handheld milk frother. I made matcha tea latte with it and it tasted so good. I also had it just straight matcha tea and with a little stevia sweetener, it tastes amazing.

I have had other matcha teas before anf I can’t get past the earthy or leafy taste of matcha so it had never been really my favorite.

I am so glad that I was able to try this for free as part of the Product Review Club. Now I know I have other options other than coffee. I am very particular with tea and usually it’s my nose that dictates if I like the tea or not. If I donnt like the scent of tea, I know I will not like it flavour wise.

I really enjoyed this Matcha Tea and I’m sold already with how convenient the packets are.
