This product really works! It makes my hair lighter and takes away all of the yellow tones! I use this once a week and love it! Would recommend 10!10!!

So expensive

Why does this have to be so expensive!! After a hair stylist used this on my hair many years ago I fell in love with it and started buying it. It really improved my hair healthy but lately it’s been leaving my scalp feeling oily

Best purple shampoo out there

I received a small sample of this product in the mail and tried it for the first time. It’s amazing! I always buy purple shampoo for my blonde hair but never had the results as great as I did from the sample. My hair for the first time in months had lost the orange, brassy look. My hair didn’t feel so dried out and the smell was nice too. I haven’t bought any other shampoo for myself since. I highly recommend blondes to give this a try!

Pureology Strength Cure Best Blonde Purple Shampoo

Hair type: Short, thick, naturally wavy, greying/ageing hair, brunette mixed with a lot of grey, silver and white.

Note: I used this with the matching conditioner.

Since I have so much grey, silver and white in my hair right now, I use blonde shampoos when I want to bring out those colours. What’s interesting about this one is that it makes the grey, silver and white hairs blend into each other, making them look a lot more unified. I think this is because it makes the tone whiter/blonder and helps them look more blended. Since it makes them a little brighter, it also makes them stand out more against my brown hair.

Like many blonde toning shampoos, this is a purple one. It’s a super dark, indigo style purple. The smell of this shampoo is amazing, it’s really fruity and sweet without being overpowering.

In terms of hair quality, my hair was left fluffy and light and nice and soft. I’d definitely use this again.

Strength Cure Best Blonde!

I have tried many different blonde Shampoo's to date but the Purology strength cure Best Blonde is the best to date. It is affordable and works wonderfully. The Purple color can stain the hands a little if left on them to long but otherwise absolutely love it!

Not for me

This stuff hated my hair. I'm not saying it's bad, everybody's hair is different so what doesn't work for me, might very well work for you, but for me this was a disaster. For the record I have hair that is partially dyed (in other words it's growing out with some natural and some dyed), naturally wavy and a mix of brown, auburn and grey/white. I'm prone to frizz and could definitely use softer hair.

Right away when using this I noticed problems. It has a non-descript (oatmeal or shea maybe?) smell that didn't bother me, but as I was rinsing my hair out I noticed I was losing a lot of hair. Like, you know when you dye your hair and afterwards lose a good chunk of hairs, more than normal? Like that. No biggie, I thought, maybe it's just strong or culling the loose hairs.

Well, my hair was really, really dry, like almost crunchy and became oily quick, like the next day (I usually wash my hair every second day as recommended). So I thought, maybe I messed up, but I should try again. Second attempt, same problem. Super, super dry, straw like hair, like drier than I had ever had it in my whole life, even when I bleached my hair (one time) it wasn't this dry.

So you're definitely welcome to try it and maybe you'll love it, but it definitely didn't work for my hair. At all.

The best!

I believe this is the best shampoo I have ever used. I have relatively thick hair but it is really fine and breaks really easily. After I dyed my hair blonde I experienced even more breakage than I normally do. My hair stylist recommended this so I purchased the shampoo, conditioner and treatment. I have to say, it actually works really well. A little of this goes a long way so while, yes it is expensive, a bottle will last you a long time. I have had my bottles for well over a year and they are still going strong so I think it is worth the price. I find Pureology products in general to be pretty high quality and I am certainly impressed with this line.
