Nice option specially for busy days

We got this as a sample and then we already bought other flavours to try.
I really liked the product, it's a good option to have at hand and use it on a busy day when you didn't have much time to cook in advance.
The portion serves 2 people.

Not for me

This flavour was simply not for me. The rest of my family actually quite enjoyed this side dish with our meal, which is why I bumped this rating up a bit. The quality, texture, and ease to prepare were all positives! I look forward to trying a different flavor.

Purgrains aztec-chipotle flavour

I got the Purgrains aztec-chipotle flavour. I love the concept. Smells and tastes delicious, but It was too spicy for me and my husband, I will try other flavours.

I'm impressed!

I had doubt getting this product in a bag, but after cooking it, I was so surprised! It took 5 minutes and I instantly had a healthy base for my meal. I love the mix of grain and the flavorful taste. Will buy again.

A nice change

I received this complimentary product from a chick advisor campaign and was happy to try something new! It was really easy to make and very flavourful. The texture was a little different than expected, almost like tougher than regular rice but this may have been because the package was extremely delayed shipping and stuck in extreme cold temperatures. Overall, I will purchase and try again!

Convenient side dish

I got Pur Grains Aztec Chipotle flavour for free from Chick Advisor.
It was very easy and quick to make it. The texture was good but the flavour was too strong and spicy for me. I prefer plain quinoa. I might buy the other flavours to try.

Blech

Honestly I’m glad I didn’t pay for these because I couldn’t eat them. The look of it in the bag and the smell threw me right off, but I tasted it anyways for the sake of the review. It was mushy and way too spicy, not at all flavourful. I would not buy this again!

Versatile!

There are so many things I love about this Purgrains! The packaging is super colorful and shows all the ingredients that are in the product.
We tried the Aztec Chipolte flavour as a side dish and my husband loved it. He really enjoys spicy food, so this was right up his alley. My 6 year old and I, thought it was a bit to spicy but still had great flavour. The texture was perfect too! It wasnt mushy or anything.
I think Purgrains is very versatile. We used it as a side dish but it would be used in chili or other dishes.
It was so quick and easy to get going, great for those nights you run out of time. It just needs to be heated for 90 seconds and its done.
We would also take this on hikes!
I would recommend Purgrains to everyone.

Delicious and easy!

I love this side dish! After prepping a simple protein like a chicken breast, adding this as a side dish is perfect for completing a well rounded meal. The smoky chipotle isn’t too strong or overpowering and removed the need for seasoning. I’m so happy to have so many healthy grains so easily accessible and will absolutely be adding this to my dinner prep routine.

Too spicy

I was not a fan of this product. It was too spicy for my kids and the taste just wasn’t great. I am not a huge fan of quinoa to begin with so I’m sure that was a huge factor in my dislike of the product. However the price point is really good for those people that would enjoy this kind of product.
