I didn’t enjoy this flavour

I received this product for free from the chick advisor product testing program. While the grains were definitely good quality and filled me up, I did not like the flavour. I would be willing to try a different flavour based on the convenience and quality of Pur Grains. The lemon and dill flavours did not come through nicely and almost has a bitter taste.

Expected more

I received the lemon dill flavour, I did enjoy the convenience of making it, however that is where it ended. I found the texture mushy, and the flavour very muted, you would never be able to guess it was lemon dill flavour. For those reasons I was disappointed and would not buy in the future.

Just okay

I was excited to try this. I tried the lemon dill. I warmed it on the stovetop and it did not take long. The texture was good. A little over lemoned for my taste, but fine. It just didn't seem fresh tasting. Like it was a left over dish. I probably won't buy. Cooking something like this from scratch wouldn't be difficult or time consuming.

Too strong

The pouch was quick and easy to make in the microwave, but I found the flavour to be too strong. As soon as I opened the package the scent was overwhelming. There was a variety of grains and the textures were nice though.

Nice packaging but not my taste

Quick and easy meal.
Good ingredients but unfortunately it’s not my taste. It’s not standing alone, you need to add flavours and spices.

Different flavours would be better

I didn't really like the dill flavour, it was really weird with rice and quinoa. I didn't mind the texture and the cooking of the product was convenient and quick. Maybe a different flavour would be better for me.

Good Product for Others

First of all, this is a super quick and easy meal. If you're pressed for time this would be a great option for something light and on the go. It's a microwaveable pouch that you tear open and pop in the microwave for under 2 minutes. Right off the bat I could smell the dill when I opened the pouch. I could definitely tasted it, but I found the lemon part quite mild. Overall it was a very herbacous type of taste. I think the flavour I chose would have benefitted a lot from hot sauce or something just as punchy. I think it's no the type of meal I would reach for over and over, but I would try another flavour. I like the ease of preparation, the ingredients used and how it's a simple way of incorporating more plant-based meals into everyday food.

Convenient but flavor could be improved

I liked that the item is ready to heat -very convenient for a quick meal. The ingredient list is good however I did not enjoy the flavor of this product.

Good but not for me

I was very excited to try this product and after eating it I felt good about what I was eating with all of the simple ingredients and it being plant based and with no artificial colours flavours or preservatives. However the flavour profile just wasn't for me. I think the lemon taste was a bit too dominant for my liking and left each bite tasting a bit too tart and sour for me to fully love it. I think given another flavour I would be open to trying it again. Definitely easy to prepare and quick and hearty!

didn't like the scent

I got this as a free product from Chickadvisor and after tasting this, I generally don't like both the smell and taste. Maybe the other flavours might be better but this did not do anything for me.
