Great product

Good productPurina Pro Plan Kitten Chicken Entrée Grain Free Classic Wet Kitten Food was great for our fur baby buttercup! It is meant for kittens  with good ingredients. She had gobbled up half of the can even licking the bowl clean, so I gave her the rest of it. She didnt like the texture that much. Kittens are usually picky well the ones I had anyhow,  but over all buttercup loved it! ill consider adding this to the shopping list!

My picky cat wasn't a fan...

I bought this product initially hoping to have found an alternative to Royal Canin's kitten food. I was looking for something in the same range of quality at a slightly lower price. With high hopes, I opened the bag for my kittens to try.

Now I have one kitten that is a former stray. She eats anything. So of course she didn't seem to mind this food and dug right in. However, my other kitten is notoriously picky and loves his Royal Canin even over wet cat food. He didn't hate this food, but I could tell he wasn't particularly excited by it either.

I decided to try the kibbles to see for myself what the difference was. Purina pro plan had a great texture. Super crunchy. But the flavour and scent was much milder than Royal Canin's. Kind of like eating a saltine cracker vs. a Dorito. Also, I do wish that chicken meal was the top ingredient rather than chicken. Pet food brands are aware that having meat as the first ingredient looks good and when chicken is weighed with its water weight included it makes me wonder just how much meat is in a product.

I'll finish the bag and probably go back to my old cat food. If your cat is not a picky eater than this would probably be a good purchase to make, but unfortunately mine is...

good but pricey

I got free coupons from purina to try this cat food, my kitten loved it! Purina recommends to portion out the food you give per day which I didn't do. He has gained a bit of weight and is a big cat, weighing 11 pounds at only 8 months... so I would recommend to portion out the food. He had now transitioned to the same food but adult verison that has less fat.
