This is a great breakfast. my girls really enjoy the dinosaur egg oatmeal. Great price, simple to make.
I give these to my kids for breakfast before school in the winter. They are teenagers now but they started eating them when they were in grade school. It is still what they love...especially dino eggs.
This is a great breakfast option for school day mornings or camping! There are lots of flavours to choose from, including a low-sugar line and a heart-healthy line.
Like a previous reviewer mentioned, it can come out a little dry if you make it exactly according to the package directions. Fiddle with the quantities a bit (or go half water, half milk like I usually do) and you will get a better consistency.
I generally prefer to make oatmeal the old-fashioned way on the stove, but this is perfect for my kids to make themselves. We usually buy the large variety pack from Costco that has 3 or 4 of the most popular flavours. Let's be real - the kids want the sugary cereals anyway, but this packaged oatmeal is not only lower in sugar than many of the dry cereal options but also offers the benefit of oatmeal (soluble fiber, etc).
I definitely recommend this oatmeal.
Although the product could use a little less sugar (me and the kids all find it a bit too sweet) It is a nice change from the every day cold cereal with milk. Its easy to prepare with either boiled water or by throwing it in the microwave which allows my 13yr old to make his own breakfast while I get the little kids ready. Its filling and has that stick to your ribs feeling that oatmeal gives you without the time it normally takes.
Thiis is the only Oatmeal that I purchase. I enjoy it more than the others. My fav is Apple and Cinnamon. Quaker makes great quality products.
I love this oatmeal! I usually buy the variety pack. Sometimes I eat it with or without milk on it and sometimes I will add fruit. It is good and healthy for you!
I've always been a big fan of oatmeal, and I love the quality and flavour of the quakers instant oatmeal. It's very filling, and while awesome on it's own, adding dried or fresh fruit and nuts on top or a little brown sugar makes it even better. I love it because I always struggle to find time to eat breakfast, and this takes 1.5 minutes in the microwave and keeps me full till lunch! It's also incredibly healthy, warm and comforting, so it's the perfect way to start my day :)
