    Always in our house

I always have this product in our pantry! My husband likes to cook it in the evening and have it for his breakfast in the morning. I only use Quaker old fashioned oats for cooking and baking. I have never tried other brands because I have always been satisfied with the results when using Quaker oats and after 42 years of watching my husband enjoy his breakfast I know what works shall not be altered!

    great baking ingredient

I buy Quaker oats to put in cookies as well as to make hot cereal in the winter with. It is healthy for you and gives cookies a nice texture as a wholesome ingredient.

Ok, I'll start this review by saying that I hated oatmeal growing up. My mother was always so busy in the morning that we settled on those microwaveable packs full of sugar. I hated them! When I met my husband he revealed to me that he had an oatmeal obsession, and he HAD to eat it every single morning! I thought "that's it. This relationship isn't going to work out!" Until I realized that he ate REAL oatmeal! The kind you make in a pan with water and a splash of milk. I decided to give it a go, even though in my world it took much more time to make than the microwaveable stuff (but really hardly any time at all). Now I'm going to say what you're all waiting for: it's sort of changed my life!! I'm at the point where I eat oatmeal every single morning! Within the first month I actually noticed I actually dropped a pants size!! Probably because oatmeal is packed with fiber and all the good stuff to keep you full. I definitely don't reach for my mid-morning snacks anymore, and instead of being hangry at noon I'm hangry around 1:30/2. And I know, you're thinking: "but don't you get sick of the same old thing every morning?". No. Because you can add a thousand different things to it! Strawberries, blueberries, bananas, honey, maple syrup, dried coconut, the options are endless! And to give my system a little extra boost I cook my oatmeal up with flaxseed, Chia seed, and hemp seed! On the days I don't eat my oatmeal I can feel the mini-shock to my system. A morning out at a breakfast joint will send me on a downward spiral for the rest of the day. The moral of the story is: I married my husband partially due to the fact that he introduced real oatmeal into my world, and I'm here introducing it to yours! Do your body a favor and incorporate this old-timey breakfast meal into your routine even just a few times per week! Your body will thank you!
