Tasty, Convenient High Fibre Breakfast
These come in packs of two. I get the Coconut & Almond Crunch flavour as it has less sugar than the other flavours. I love the portion side of these, and I like to keep these on hand for quick weekday morning breakfasts. It’s easy to pour milk (or almond milk as I like to use) into the container at night, let the container sit in the fridge, and then open it for a delicious breakfast in the morning.
The only thing I would change about these, or that I would like to see different is a no-sugar option. I feel like the coconut and almond crunch flavour would also taste good without sugar. Don’t get me wrong, it tastes good with sugar, but I think it would be nice to also have a sugar free option.
As well, as these only come in packages of 2, it can get a little pricey if you are wanting to buy more than 2.
Quick & delicious breakfast time!
I really enjoyed Quaker To Go Instant Oatmeal in both flavours. I tried one warm and the other cold, with my personal preference being served warm with a scoop of vanilla yogurt on top. The savory smell brings me back to my younger years of sitting at the kitchen table while mom cooked stove top oatmeal. Great job Quaker as usual a wonderful product!
Quick, healthy breakfast
I got a few of these puppies to try at the Womans Show in Toronto, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! I added milk to mine, and the outcome was incredible! Although not as cheap as I'd like it to be, my samples came with 'Save $1.00" coupons that I will defiantly use up. The coldness of keeping the oats in the fridge all night in the milk was amazing! It perfectly paired the hints of coconut and slices of almond!
Convenient but too sweet
I really like the convenience in prepping this. Just pour in milk and refrigerate for at least six hours and you can have ready to eat oatmeal the next morning. However, I found the oatmeal still too chewy so I add a tablespoon for yogurt for extra creaminess. It tastes okay but a bit too sweet for my liking.
Too sweet
I have made overnight oats before and enjoyed them a lot as the perfect, easy breakfast (especially for summer mornings). But the Quaker Overnight Oats, while simple to prepare, were much too sweet for me (and I even have a strong sweet tooth). Personally, I’ll be passing on these next time I’m in the cereal aisle.
Skip it
I bought these as a quick breakfast item to try. I love the convenience of them and they seem to be high quality, but the flavors they come in are no good...
Quick and easy
I picked a couple of these and really like them. Its so easy...just pour some milk in, let it sit in the fridge for the night and eat them in the morning. I love oatmeal but the mornings are rushy and I don't have much time to make it in the morning, so these are a pretty good replacement.
Too sweet for my tastes
I got this to try and have an easy breakfast ready in the morning. I tried it first with my usual sugar free almond milk and it was WAY too sweet for me and really watery. I added some yogurt as recommended to thicken it up but it didn't really help. If you like surgery cereals or oatmeal you might like this but it wasn't for me.
Tasty and convenient, but not nutritious enough
This format is very convenient, tastes good and has good texture.
However, it doesn't make the most nutritious breakfast. Even if you use cow milk, you only get ~15 g protein. I think it's best suited to be a sweet snack.
While I like the idea, I think the nutrition could be improved. The oatmeal I have every morning has much more protein, fibre and less sugar and fat.
Just not for me
As with other Quaker products the quality seems good and there are plenty of almond slices that remained crunchy in the morning. That said, this is just not for me. I didn't like the semi-soft texture mixed with milk that became very sweet after soaking up the sugar.
