I like these eyeshadows! it applies easily and stays on fairly good all day (i still touch it up mid day)
The price is affordable too! Definitely one of my go tos for eyeshadows
Quo releases this palette seasonally with their Holiday Collection and it's packaging and colours are very similar to the Urban Decay Naked Palettes - just significantly cheaper. (About 20$ at SDM)
As I said, the colours are very similar to the Naked Palette, all natural shades. Unfortunately, the colours aren't as pigmented and you do need to build/apply a few more times to get your desired look but it's not that big of a deal considering how much money you would save.
I really like how it isn't a "messy" palette either and by that I mean that it doesn't have specks of powder or shadow all over the place, it also doesn't drop off from your brush onto your cheeks or face. This is something that usually makes me avoid palettes of any kind.
I cannot wait for the Winter 2016 Palette to be released because I will for sure be purchasing.
I have the 2014 and 2015 (neutrals only) variations. I think these are great dupes for the UD naked1 palette, (the 2014 non-matte one is better) and these are wonderful drugstore eyeshadows. I think these are wonderfully pigmented, though not as pigmented as UD, obviously, but have a great texture, minimal fallout, and the mattes actually show up. I really like the brush that comes with it, it seems to be a great quality brush, and it works well as an eyeshadow brush.
The (2015 Neutral Browns) Quo Back to Basics palette is super versatile, you get to choose between matte and shimmer – but not overly glittery or mix it up for your perfect look – or if you are very lucky, find the all matte palette.
The coverage on them is great, some of the Quo Back to Basics lighter colours need an extra swipe to get the same pigmentation at their Urban Decay counterparts but considering the cost difference, that is not a huge deal. With the exception of the black, they go on dry with no loose powder dropping off the brush. I have been using a smaller brush (from the Quo Rebel Chic travel set) for the black as it tends to drop.
I am not however a fan of the one with more purples, the colours do not have the depth of the neutrals
This eye shadow palette is decent but it's not the kind of high quality, good colour pay-off palette that you can get when you splurge on a great one like naked for example. It does the job but it's nothing worth getting excited over.
Quo Back To Basics Palettes come packaged in a very sleek, black with gold detail, durable cardboard case with full size mirror on the inside lid. It contains 12 pigmented, incredibly soft eyeshadows, 9 of them being extremely neutral and 3 of them giving a little pop of colour to this otherwise very nude palette. From light and barely there nudes and champagnes, to rich and intense browns and smoky tones, each shade will help to amplify your eyes to easily take you from day to night. It also comes with an extremely soft eyeshadow brush for easy application
