Useful to keep in the house!
I bought this product for my last apartment as I started noticing a few ants. It took a while for the ants to fully enter the well to take the bait, but once they did there were SO many. A few days later aside from 2 ants, I didn't have the problem, so I'm assuming this wiped out the entire colony. Make sure to apply to cracks/ crevices you see ants coming out from.
Did not work
I bought 4 packs of 4 and placed a few of them by the baseboards around the kitchen. The ants just walked around the baits. I tried taking a toothpick and adding a small amount of jam near the entrances but the ant were still uninterested. These were probably the biggest waste of money. I called Johnson Company so I could get my money back as there are no in store returns due to Covid-19. Its been well over a month now and it’s safe to say there’s probably no RMA form being sent through mail as promised. Buyers beware.
It's good but not great
Used these traps two years in a row, cut the ant population in half each year. Figure I will use again this year and my actually get rid of the ants in my house.
These didn't kill the colony
After trying our usual brand of baits/traps, and still having so many big ants, I told my husband to buy the powder, but he brought these home instead. They just sat there on our kitchen floor, not collecting ants. I never saw one ant near them, they were all crawling on my counters & in cupboards. So no, these didn't kill the aggressive colony this year. I ended up using a foam that worked.
I used these baits a few years, and sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. A few years ago they worked just fine, and a few weeks after I put them out I didn't see any ants around. This year the ants just avoided the thing - they just walked around, seemingly not attracted to the bait inside. I do have to mention that these need to be out for a while, don't expect results overnight.
