Absolutely astounding comic series. Rat queens is about four mercenary women each with distinct, believable and deeply flawed aspects of personality. Never have female characters in a comic series been written so realistically. The art is beautiful (though the firing of the artist is something I fully support, given the circumstances involved) and the story is so compelling that I always regret not having the next volume ready when I finish the first one.

As a totally sober, somewhat old fashioned woman, I found myself rooting for these hilarious, tough characters and you will too. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Do be warned though, does have bad language and naughty bits.
