I have used the Beauty Blender and I did like it but where I live you can't buy it, also it is really expensive.
I find that this sponge works just as well, I can buy it at Walmart, and it is a lot less expensive then the Beauty Blender. I also found that it lasted longer and didn't tear for several months.
I have been using the ''real techniques'' sponge for the past year and I love it. I bought it at my local pharmacy (Jean Coutu) for a very affordable price. For the price and the quality of the product, I recommend this to anyone!!
I have to set clear I haven't tried the Beauty Blender so I have no point of reference between both results.
I really like it! I bought it because I bought a Foundation that wasn't working with the brush or fingers, so I decided give a try. The results with my foundation were so much better, and I really like the performance! I can't imagine the BB! I just need to get the courage to make the splurge. In the meantime I think it's pretty affordable and the results are very good for that price ponint. I think it keeps a little more water than I would like, so my next try is just use an atomizer to damp it, it should work!
Another down side it just got ripped! I even don't know how! Like for the fifth use, it was already ripped, still works but I found it a little bit disapointing.
These definitely aren't on the same level as the beauty blender; however, they work good and for a fraction of the cost. I find they absorb a bit more product but they blend really well, especially the under eye area. I also like using the flat side with powder to clean up my contour.
This sponge is mediocre all around. I absolutely love the Real Techniques brushes so I was expecting that this sponge would be a great dupe for the Beauty Blender. I'm so sad to say that this completely underwhelmed me. I could have gotten the same effect from wetting a triangle makeup sponge. I also found mould in it and ended up throwing it out after about a month. I'm really diappointed that this didn't work out for me, although I do think it's a cheap alternative for beginners who are learning how to apply makeup with a sponge.
I have never used a blending sponge for my concealer but after using this sponge, I'll never go back to a brush! Great price too! I definitely recommend make up users to at least try it!
Bought a 2 pack of these after running out of beauty blenders. It took a while to grow on me, as the texture was noticeable denser than the BBs. But now I love it, I find that it gives better coverage for foundations compared to using BBs. For the price, this is a great value.
A great alternative to the beauty blender which i have never tried due to price. Works well, cleans well, but does start to lose chunks and pieces making it a bit unsightly.
