It's pricey but it works well

My first impression with the shampoo is that it lathered quite a bit less compared to other shampoos I've used before. That doesn't mean it doesn't clean well because my hair felt very clean after using it without feeling dry. For the conditioner, it was thick and creamy, felt very nice & smooth. It really helped detangled my hair without feeling as if I had to tug at my hair with my comb. There was also a nice light citrus scent to these, so anyone with sensitivities to added fragrances might want to avoid this line.

The results? I thought these worked pretty well! They're no miracle products, but I could definitely feel that my bleached coloured hair is much softer, smoother, and less frizzy than before. Does not feel weighed down at all. I have a feeling that with several more uses, my hair would feel significantly more healthier, especially with the conditioner.

The only cons I can think of is how pricey they are at about $40-$50 each, so they won't be something I'll be purchasing regularly. They also don't offer a fragrance-free option in this line for those who are sensitive to such either, so it's not inclusive to all user types. They're overall effective products nonetheless.

Was expecting too much from Redken

Got this this sample from sampler.io and Redken which is a very well known brand in haircare so I was expecting great results from this product. Well...I was disappointed. It might've been because the sample was barely enough for the amount of hair I have but I was quite disappointed. I like a shampoo that foams when its in my hair but this one never did. It wasn't even soapy(slippery feeling) which just doesn't click with me. It does have a smell to with which is, as you can expect from the name of the product, lightly citrus-ish which I liked. But performance wise, I didn't really like the product. I didn't even feel like my hair was clean. The conditioner was the same. Hair didn't even feel hydrated and I actually had to put a leave in deep conditioner from another brand. So, I don't recommend this personally.. Sorry Redken, I was expecting so much from you!

Not Enough Product To Make An Informed Decision!

Today I am reviewing Redken Acidic Bonding shampoo and conditioner. I tried it last night. My hair is thick and just below my shoulder so not super long and there was not enough shampoo in the sample to even get a lather going. So honestly, my review I feel, will be lacking substance as there was not enough product and I had to supplement with my current shampoo and conditioner so my hair was properly washed. I will say that it smelled nice and had a good consistency but I can't say that my hair felt any different from any other day of washing. Nothing stood out for me. Again, maybe it's because I had to use other product with my sample product. Either way, I am always very appreciative of any samples sent to me and am grateful for opportunity to try it. However, I can not, in good faith, say if I truly liked it but I can with complete certainty say I did not hate it at all but the sample did not inspire me to want to purchase the product!
