Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella Reviews
#897 in Books

Description

After taking a nasty bump on the head, Lexi Smart awakens in a hospital convinced that it's 2004 and that she's just missed her father's funeral. It's actually three years later, and she no longer has crooked teeth, frizzy hair and a loser boyfriend. Initially wowed by what she's become—a gorgeous, cut-throat businesswoman—Lexi soon finds herself attempting to figure out how it happened. As her personality change and lost memory threaten her job, Lexi tries to dredge up some chemistry with her handsome albeit priggish husband, Eric, though the effort is unnecessary with Eric's colleague Jon, who tells Lexi that she was about to leave Eric for him. Amnesia tales may be old hat, but Kinsella keeps things fresh and frothy with workplace politicking, romantic intrigue and a vibrant (though sometimes caricatured) cast.

If you like a light read, chick-lit, or are a fan of the Shopaholic series then you will truly love this book! This is one of the only books that I actually like to re-read! This book will have you chuckling to yourself the whole way through! I think this is may be Sophie's funniest read, and I have to say I like it even more than the Shopaholic series!

I picked up this book as soon as it hit the shelf. I found it to be funny and a light easy read. It had many laughs and it was a little different from what Sophie Kinsellas writes. It was almost like a mini love triangle with Lexi, Erik and Jon. Kept me on my toes but it was a little unlikely that something like this would happen in real life.

I also read this Remember Me by Sophie Kinsella and agree with the other reviewer...it was one of those books I wanted to read through quickly to find out what was going on. I read this book in a few days and it was a nice light read. I enjoyed the subject matter as well and definitely recommend this book!

I like the premise behind this book - she has amnesia and wants to remember her life, we all know that one. But what if your life seems to have changed drastically during the time you can't remember? What if instead of helping to put pieces together everyone seems fishy? New friends, new clothes, new job, new husband... That's where we find our heroine.

I enjoyed the possible deep subject matter (a la that Harrison Ford movie about amnesia) being told in a fun, fictional way. I enjoyed that we only know as much as the main character knows, so we're suspicious too.

I am not a Sophie reader, this was my first book of hers, and I thoroughly enojyed it and read it in 2 nights because I wanted to know the ending so bad!
