I found was that this did not shave as close as I'd hoped. This has two pivoting foil blades and the trimmer and can be used wet or dry. Its rechargeable and will hold the charge for 30 minutes (their claim: I haven't tested this). The smoothness from the aloe is nice as is the ergonomic shape... it is easy to work with. However what counts for me is effectiveness. This was both louder and slower than the one I had before which my mom gave me when I first stated shaving. I suppose I will continue to use this, but I am wishing for my old electric. Maybe it shaves better wet, but I always shave dry with this type of razor.

I bought this to replace an old electric razor which had a permanent foil which finally broke. I had to do more passes to get the hairs. How is it that in all this time the effectiveness has moved backwards? I'm so frustrated... wish I had tried it out when I first bought it... I would have returned it. But are they all like this??
