Awful smell, overpowering

I moved into a new house and it smelled of wet dog even after I cleaned and sanitized everything (previous owner had 3 huskies). I bought this thinking it would help with the smell. I was sadly disappointed with the air freshener. It is adjustable, but even on the lowest setting the smell was very overpowering and not very pleasant. My house now smelled like wet dogs covered in a sickly-sweet orange fragrance. I had to throw It out as it was causing such a severe headache.
