It's ok, but needs a makeover

Yikes, where to start with this. In terms of being a shampoo (I used it alongside the matching conditioner) it's ok. It definitely works better on fine/thinning hair (as stated on the bottle), but to be honest it mostly seems to make hair appear 'thicker' by volumising it. As a result, if you do have thicker or naturally wavy hair, this dries it out a bit and leaves it a little frizzier than I'd like.

I also found my hair got oily faster while using this, by about half a day. My biggest problem with this shampoo is that it's not selling itself at all. I could forgive the sparse info on the Amazon page (they have way more info on their website), but in terms of the bottle itself...I have no idea what this shampoo does. It says for fine and thinning hair, but in no way implies it will help those issues. On the back it says 'Prep your scalp for hair growth with Reviv3 Cleanser Shampoo'. I don't know if that means it helps hair growth or not, it's not clear.

There's no ingredients list, the bottle looks like a prototype. There's nothing wrong with a simple, beautiful bottle; this ain't it, chief. It looks like it's not finished, there's barely any information, the bottle looks cheap and not very nice and the cap fits on my shampoo bottle the wrong way.

None of this would be a big deal in a cheap drugstore shampoo, but this brand is expensive and should be trying to sell itself to you, the midpoint luxury consumer. it fails at every aspect of that and badly needs a redesign. If I saw this in a store I wouldn't pick it up.

As a shampoo, it's so-so, but they definitely need to give you more information about the product you're putting on your head.

I do like that it's not tested on animals. It's also sulfate-free but doesn't say that anywhere on their bottle, I had to look it up to find out. They are really doing themselves no favours. I will also say it's a reasonable sized bottle.

Smell-wise, it's ok. It has a heavy, minty, menthol smell that doesn't bother me, but also didn't leave me saying Mmmmmm. I might be more inclined to keep using it if I knew some of the benefits it was offering me, but with this bottle and lack of information, this shampoo is simply confusing and cheap looking. What a shame.
