91% OF CHICKS DIG IT
Not worth the price of admission
We did the 60% off trial, or whatever their promotion is, but I must say the whole family was disappointed. some containers were less than 1/4 full while others were full, they all tasted the same, forcing us to add our own berries and juice mixes.
Eventually just ordered frozen fruit from Costco, way cheaper.
Beware!
Their products are average--a lower end Daily Harvest. (Both are being investigated by the FDA though so in that they are the same!) Beware that this company uses borderline fraudulent tactics to lock customers into their subscription service. 1) You cannot cancel your plan you can only "pause" it--this means that Revive will constantly send you emails to unpause or participate in one of their flash sales (that are constant). 2) It doesn't matter if you unsubscribe they will STILL send you emails--I have unsubscribed at least twice. 3) If you do not pause and skip weeks--they will unskip a week on you so the product is delivered and they can charge you. 4) Customer service is 0%--they do not have a chat function or phone number, only email. They also refuse refunds--I had to threaten them with a credit card dispute. This is the ONLY way to get your money back, which I suggest as it adds negative points against them for creditors and if you win they have to pay additional penalty fees.
Credit Card Fraud
Don't trust this company with your credit card. They make it almost impossible to cancel the account, and will charge you even if you cancel a delivery - and refuse to refund. Smoothies taste good, but not worth the hell they will take you through.
Poor system for subscription
I put my subscription on hold for two months and then forgot about it because I've been super busy. I didn't get any notification from the company as you usually do a few days before it goes out and it was sent to my old address in another province. I had been ordering for a few months and always got an email prior to my shipment in case you want to make any changes. I didn't get it this time and almost $90 of stuff was sent to my old address in another province. They have refused to give a refund. They did give a credit, but I can't really afford it and I find the selection gets old and I stop eating them. As a result, I don't recommend this service. It's nice to get a reminder email before it's sent and I don't know why it didn't happen this time. Thumbs down.
Not worth the money.
I have been ordering from revive for a while. Many years ago their products were simply wonderful! However, after reactivating my account recently and ordering 24 smoothies, I am completely disappointed. Although the fruits are good quality, the additional healthful ingredients such as hemp, açai, Maca, Chia, flax, etc..are a bare dusting or simply not there.
Keeping in mind that some of the powders will dissolve in the liquid if you defrost your smoothies in the fridge overnight as I do, it is still a negligible amount, with little to no health benefits. Now revive has never said that these powders will be in massive amounts and change your health incredibly. However if it is a listed ingredient on the side of their container I expect there to be actual seeds or powders in my smoothies. After inspecting several kinds of smoothies, I found that there were no seeds of any kind and the powders were less than and 1/8 of a teaspoon. In my opinion, they are simply not worth the money. You can make your own with frozen fruit from Costco or Maxi and simply get hemp seeds, flaxseed, Maca powder, and other helpful ingredients at your local bulk barn and make them yourself!
Hard to blend and very bland!
I was excited about these smoothie cups because they advertise them as blend and go - WRONG! Despite following the recommended liquid type and the amount I had to fight with every single one to blend in my Vitamix. At the end of all this effort, they were flavourless and bland! Save your money!
I would not recommend
I ordered 24 to try due to sale price. The same day I checked of 7 smoothies every 8 weeks. 5 days later I get 24 more smoothies in the mail and was charged 199 dollars. They refused to give me a partial refund. I called them and they said you didn't change it in time. Bullshit I made sure I did the same day. Also half of my smoothies were half full making it a subpar shake. I would not recommend not worth the price especially when its hit and miss wether you get a full cup.
I do not recommend
It's unfortunate, because their smoothies are decent and tasty. The reason why I would NOT purchase them again is because of their customer service. The staff from Revive Superfoods lack communication, especially with their distributor and staff do NOT listen to their customers. I hope that you think twice about purchasing anything from this company and I guarantee that there are smoothies that taste just as good with better customer service!
Hard to Cancel
I tried cancelling and someone responded offering a discount. I responded that I wanted to cancel, and I haven’t heard anything. Why is it SO DIFFICULT to cancel? I should be able to cancel without sending an email too. Terrible business practices. I cancelled pre-authorized payments through my PayPal instead. Anyways, for the actual product, I’m not too fond of the price. 12 for $80? And the flavours don’t taste fresh. Like they’ve been froze for awhile.
Poor Customer Service
Quality of the product is fine, however very poor customer service, very hard to manage the account. Postponed an order and received it anyway. BTW they don't send confirmation emails on postponements. Emailed customer service immediately to either pick up or discount since this was their error, received email back that they would be in touch in 12-24 hours. That was 5 days ago. My account is now deactivated, but no one will confirm if that is permanent. Cannot remove my credit card information from the account, so that is a concern as well. I will now have to block them at my bank so they don't start up in error
If they would get their act together with customer service I would consider dealing with them again, but right at the moment I will not.
