I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with these. They seem to have been a huge hit with the youtube community, and when I went to get some, there weren't very many colors left. I got the last lip butter in pink truffle there was, which I thought would suit my skin tone best. Even so, I was hesitant. I'm quite pale, with cool undertones, and there was more brown to the color than I had been expecting. But it was amazing. It worked perfectly. I think the color would suit just about anyone. It has a very nice creamy finish, with a very nice shine to it. And the color pay-off is spectacular. That said, I do have my complaints. The lip butter is marketed as being moisturizing, which it really isn't, at least for me. It is winter, and I live in a dry climate, but it certainly wasn't as revolutionary as promised. But compared to a regular lipstick, it's definitely the more moisturizing option. The only other problem I had with it was the packaging. It comes in a cute lipstick tube, but the product touches the inside of the container--not the cap, but the actual lipstick tube--so that when I slide it up and done to apply it and then close it, product is scraped off. And even if the lip butters aren't very moisturizing, they do have the texture of soft butter. It makes a mess, especially if it's warm.
All in all, I like it. I wouldn't recommend taking it to the beach, but I like it. Great color pay-off, great texture, and a clear cap allows you to see the true color. Go get one before they're gone!

The shade that I picked (005 Sugar Frosting) is quite amazing and the lipstick does a great job at leaving your lips mosturized for quick a long time. It applies really well and wears nicely. This is a fairly new product and my hope is that they will add some more colours to the already existing palette.

After hearing so much hype about these i was so excited when i finally found them at a CVS. Honestly, it pretty much worked just the way it was supposed to. These are hydrating and are nicely pigmented, i like how even though they are pigmented when you apply them they are very glossy. Although i really enjoy the feeling of these and how they look on my lips there are two major issues that i have come across with these lip butters. First, there are really not much product in them for the price that they are. Second and most annoying thing about these are that they MELT horribly. Half of mine in the color "Berry Smoothie" is half gone because it has melted. Other than them melting they are pretty good. Although, i probably won't be buying anymore unless there is a sale because why buy something if it is going to melt before you really even get to use it?

I'll admit, I haven't been all too patient waiting for these to come to Canada after hearing all the hype from the U.S, but at long last, they're here !

They're not your typical lip balm, lipstick, or lip gloss, but if anything they're practically a hybrid of all three. The packaging and pigmentation of a lipstick, the texture of a lip balm, and a glossy finish of a lip gloss. There is the faintest sweet scent to them which I absolutly love and wish was stronger, but I give them props to appeal to a larger group by not making the scent too over powering. As for the packaging it's pretty much your typical lipstick tube with a clear top which allows you to see the true colour of the product.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and hope I can find more at another Shopper's sometime soon.

I bought the colors Red Velvet and Pink Truffle.

I think these are great! I'm not much of a lipstick wearer because I find they really dry out my lips so I mainly stick to tinted balms for my everyday look. I find these much more moisturizing then most of the lipsticks I've tried. I consider these more of a lipstick because the 2 colors I have are quite pigmented. Also they are not as moisturizing as a lip balm, I found they didn't moisturize my lips if they are already dry but they also didn't take away moisture from my lips. The lasting power isn't great but I'm used to reapply lip products so this wasn't really a con for me.

Overall I really like these and look forward to getting a few more colors.

I am pretty pleased with my lip butter so far! I bought it in the shade Sugar Plum. I think the moisturising effect of the lip butter is a bit overrated though. While it is a moisturising and I do find that my lips are not dried out like other lipsticks- I think the "lip butter" name is a bit misleading- this shouldn't replace your lip balm.

I was surprised at how pigmented this lip butter is- it has a great colour, more than 'tinted' I would say. They also come in a variety of colours and shades- I was impressed at how many there were. I like the feeling of this lip butter a lot- it isn't sticky or too thick like some glosses, balms or lipsticks are. It's light enough to wear during the day too. I don't feel too overdone.

I think the price for the quality of the product is right- I paid about $8 for one. I think I would definitely purchase this again- I am excited to try out different colours.

Here is a quote from my review on my blog:

"Unfortunately I do not find these lip butters very hydrating at all. If you have already smooth and soft lips, you may consider these hydrating. For people like me though, who live in cold climates and always have dry and chapped lips, these are not the product to use for moisturizing. This is mainly what bothers me the most about this product. Revlon claims these lip butters should give you baby soft and healthy lips, that it should boost lip moisture and that it will provide supercharged hydration. This is exactly what I expected when I purchased them but all they really turned out to be is a lipstick with a glossy finish that provides a tiny bit of moisture.

With that being said, I otherwise really love these lip butters!! They are glossy, shiny, pigmented, long lasting and the 20 shades Revlon has to offer are gorgeous. Some of them have a shimmery/glitter finish and some have a cream finish. I use them as lipsticks and make sure to have already moisturized lips before applying them and they look amazing. If you have cracked, chapped or dry lips - DO NOT apply this product. It will look cakey and just not pretty.

One more thing: don't let the delicious names of the shades deceive you, they are unscented for the most part!"
