i thought these lip butters were ok. i got the peach parfait one and it does have a lot of glitter to it. I think it would be a lot better if it didnt have the glitter in it cause then they would feel more creamy. Overall, not a bad product but probably wouldnt repurchase again i think they are discontinuing the product anyway
This product is really hydrating and it smells good but unfortunately, I don't think I will purchase it again. The colour I bought was #025 (peach parfait) and I find that there is too many glitters in the product. Once the colour is gone, you still have glitters all over your lips and I don't like that. I might give it a try with another colour...
i like this product but i feel it is a little overpriced . it isn't th best thing ever but i like the shade so i might end up buying it again!
I'm mixed on this one.The colors are gorgeous. From coral to deep berry and everything in between you can't deny the variety. It's lasting powering is slightly more than average I would say.My only con really is that these lip butters are not moisturizing.Even though they;re not for that purpose I think this could've been more moisturizing. If you have lip lines, this product will surely setting and it will be pretty noticeable.Use a swipe of chapstick before application(this won't effect the matte factor too much)The price is not too wallet friendly so it's a hit/miss I suppose.
Great concept. Nice selection. All are hits and misses unfortunately. Some are pigmented, some you expect to be and may not be able to test are very, very sheer or glittery, some are great. something for everyone in this line. I use these as a punch up over a nude lip. I personally make sure to exfoliate my lips before using these the odd time I do
I was so excited to try these lip butters but unfortunately I was left disappointed. I found these to be thick (even when warmed up) and it felt slightly sticky on my lips. The colours were fine and they did stain my lips but I would not repurchase or buy anymore. There are too many other lip products that I enjoy using!
As a lip balm, most of the lighter/sheer colors work well. Some (like Sweet Tart), have a little more of a dry texture and it doesn't cover that evenly. The darker colors fade quickly on my inner lip (no eating/drinking either) but the outside stays bright so I have to reapply often. They're more matte than glossy.
I'll stick to what I usually do which is put a light coat of lip balm (Blistex) on my lips before my regular lipstick or gloss.
I know everyone seems to just love Lip Butters. I know I was super excited to try them when I first heard of them because of all the hype. It took a few weeks for them to show up in my locals stores, and when they finally did, they were constantly sold out.
The first color I tried was Sugar Frosting. It was sheer, but it did give my lips a nice, shiny pink shimmer. It felt nice and soft on my lips, and the color actually stuck around longer than I expected. Because they seem to run a little cheaper here than other areas (about $6.50 at Target), I decided to try some of the other colors.
I ended up feeling underwhelmed overall. A couple of the colors, like Gumdrop and Red Velvet, are lovely. They're pigmented and long lasting and still feel nice. The rest that I tried were all so sheer that it was pointless trying to use them at all. Some aren't as moisturizing as the others. The consistency is so different between the colors, and there's no way to tell just from looking at it.
I'm not really a fan of the packaging, either. The caps are really cheap and flimsy feeling and are prone to popping off easily.
I guess my feeling about Lip Butters is "meh". If you want to try one, I recommend Red Velvet. I use them both regularly and like them. Aside from that, they're nothing special. Definitely not worth the hype.
