Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in shameless is a great spring shade with serious staying power. I recommend adding a little chapstick before applying to avoid any caking. Pair bright lips with a cool cat eye and you have an easy look.
I love matte finish lipsticks, so I just had to buy this when it came out. I had purchased Standout and Sultry and absolutely love them. I really wished there were more colour selection, but otherwise, the formula of the matte balms are great! It's smooth and glides well on the lips and it doesn't bleed after hours of wear. It's highly affordable and very wary to apply.
I want one in every color. I adore the reddish ones. The texture is amazing and hydrating. I love that it does not taste bad. Go to your stores immediately and buy one!
I bought this Revlon Colorburst in the color Shameless.Which is dark purple. It looks like a crayon and glides on really easily.I find it has a bit of a peppermint flavor which is really nice and feels actually soothing on my lips. The color is absolutely gorgeous! Its really dark and pigmented a super sexy color.Perfect for a night out.I'm quite intrigued to try some of the other colors as well.
I love the original Revlon Colorburst Lip Balm Stains, so I was excited to try the matte version out. While the colours are nice (I own Showy and Mischievous), they are definitely not long lasting. I love the orange shade of Mischievous, but it does look a little chalky on my lips. I find that I still have to apply a lip balm underneath in order to avoid visible lip lines. But for the price, I recommend trying at least one!
This is one of the first matte colours I've ever bought for my lips, so I don't know a lot about other formulas. But I was really happy with this purchase! I bought "Sultry", which seems to me like a rosey-brown kind of shade. It's very natural yet dramatic looking at the same time, and I really love it.
The formula is perfect for me. The crayon shape makes it easy to apply, and there's a little bit of a mint scent to the product. It only takes pretty much one coat to get full colour (although I find you can build the colour up to whatever you like, from lighter to much more intense). As long as my lips are in good shape I don't have to use any lip balm with this if I don't want to. The balm does feel a bit dry on the lips in a way, but it isn't actually drying - some lip products make my lips feel a bit sensitive after wearing for a while, but this actually feels nice.
I find this stays on my lips very well, almost like a stain, and it also wears away pretty evenly (even through drinking/eating) so it doesn't look terrible if I forget to reapply at some point.
There is really only one other shade of the Matte balms that looks like it might suit me, but the one I did buy (Sultry) is exactly what I was looking for when I bought it.
I was super curious about this product since I love a matte lip and it's a lot harder to find in drugstores. I am a fan of Revlon's matte lipsticks and their colourburst balm stains and this seemed like a combination of both of these. The lipstick is basically a giant crayon and has the consistency of a lighter lipstick, almost balmy but since it is a matte, it isn't as soft or glossy as a balm is. I wouldn't consider this a matte but it isn't as drying as other mattes. That being said, the pigmentation is decent but not the best. I have other mattes that completely cover and are truer to the shade. For an inexpensive, matte lip product, this is something I would recommend. It won't be my favourite or even an essential go to but it's great for touch ups throughout the day on my heavier, matte lip that tends to peel off when I put too much on. For the price, this is an excellent option!
