I get about a week out of this polish using the Gel Envy top coat along with it. Great line of basic colours. Comes off easily with regular name polish and no nail damage. Colours are very true to what you see in the bottle.
Unlike the topcoat the Nail polish went on beautifulily. Nice and smooth, not thick and I used 2 coats. Perfect! I really liked the choice of colours as well.
This nail polish is definitely salon-quality colour AND salon-quality staying power. It's very simple to accomplish as all you have to do is brush on the base, and then the colour! The colour is super opaque with just one stroke so you know that the whole bottle will last you a while. The shine is amazing on these nail polishes, especially the bubblegum pink colour called "Cardshark". It looked like I just came from getting a professional manicure (without having to spend on the heightened salon prices). Definitely a must if you love to have your nails looking good!
I decided to follow the 2-step system and omit a base coat, even after reading some reviews claiming that the darker polishes can stain.
These polishes are a bit thicker than your typical Revlon Colorstay enamel, so be sure not to shake them before application since that will cause annoying bubbles to appear on the nails. The colour pigment and formula seems to be very consistent and I can't see it separating easily.
My nails lasted pretty much chip-free for the entire 6 days. To remove I used a generic acetone-free nail polish remover, and everything came off easy except for a bit of the green colour which collected around my cuticles. Fortunately, after 6 days my nails were still pretty bright with no major staining.
The "All or Nothing" shade had a slightly less appealing application. The polish is pretty thin, so I had to do three thin coats to get this semi-opaque finish. Overall, the wear has been pretty impressive, although the pink did chip more than the green.
Okay...so, I don't know if my nails just hate me or what but I seem to have a really hard time trying to find a good long lasting nail polish.
I purchased a few colors from this line and was super excited to try them out as I got them impression that it would be long lasting (but hey, aren't they all? lol). Typically nail polish (besides shellac) lasts me less than 24 hours before chipping. This line lasted me maybe a day and then chipped even after I applied the top coat ...twice!
I'm going to give it another try and if it still doesn't last then it's a no for moi =(
Revlon Gel Envy polishes have quickly become one of my favourite polishes to use ever since their release earlier this year. If I want opacity, I grab a Gel Envy. If I want a one coat polish, I grab a Gel Envy. If I want a colour that won’t disappoint, just give me a Gel Envy! All I am wearing is two coats of Up the Ante, a creamy, bright purple, followed with some dots in Cardshark, a soft baby pastel pink. Both polishes were a dream to work with and if there is one set of drugstore polishes that you NEED to own it's Gel Envys!
Long lasting nail polish with a gel color effect. Great color sections (wild card is my current go-to) decent price! You only need one or two coats max for great coverage!
LOVE this stuff. My nails normally chip ALL THE TIME, but this product lasts! It goes on nicely (love the thick brush) and dries super quick. I will be buying a lot more of this polish.
I've tried all different types of nail polishes and this one makes me the happiest of them all!!
LIKES:
-It comes with a base and colour in one application. No need for a second coat or top coat.
-It goes on easy, smoothly, and perfect in one shot.
-The colours are outstanding!
-It doesn't take forever to dry.
DISLIKES:
-the price is a bit on the higher end, but so worth it for the quality and effectiveness.
Love, love, love this product!
