There is no denying that this foundation has amazing quality. However, for very pale girls like myself it's simply impossible to use. The 'lightest' shade is about 4 shades too dark for me and I also find the price to be a little high. I wish I could wear this foundation but for my skin it simply has no effectiveness due to the fact that I can't even wear it without looking really silly. So for me, this is definitely a 'fugheddaboutit'!
This is over priced for its value. I didn't like the coverage it gave me and it didn't last very long on my skin. I found that they didn't have a huge selection of shades and couldn't find the perfect shade, it was either too light or dark.
This foundation lasts a very long time for me & has medium to full coverage. It has a weird smell to it but I got used to it, you don't to re apply it during the day. It's even and blends well :) you can buy at most dug stores!
i've always heard everyone raving about this product so i decided to give it a go myself.
maybe my expectations were just too high, but i hate it. i've tried everything i can think of: different primers, different tools and techniques, different setting powders, etc. no matter what i do, this foundation is too think and unmanagable. it accentuates my dry areas and oily areas alike, makes my poors look huge and all of my flaws obvious. i'm not so happy with the photoready either (i've reviewed that too). it seems i just keep striking out with revlon foundations. very disappointed.
Maybe it's because I've gotten older or maybe it's because my "makeup skills" have improved, but I LOVE this stuff now! I reach for it all the time. It's definitely heavy coverage and very thick, but it's long wearing and really fast to apply -- perfect for long school or work days.
This goes on so easy with a sponge! But it gave me an allergic reaction:( so i cant use it anymore x
This foundation has very good coverage and says to last up to 16 hours with a flawless, lightweight feel to it. It has SPF 6 included, so on a regular sunny day, your foundation is helping you out in 2 ways!
The only negative thing I could say about this product, is that it has a smell of paint or paint thinner. Which doesn't sound good while applying it to your vulnerable skin! But I have been using this for a year or two now, and I haven't had any side effects or reactions!
I bought this in Sand Beige for normal or dry skin. It has a good coverage--it covers pimples and redness. It feels lightweight and it doesn't rub off on clothing. It has a natural look and it is a pretty good drugstore foundation. Some down sides are: It looks great indoors, but in florescent lights or outside, it looks kind of orange and cakey. It dries very quickly, so you have to work with it really fast and i wish it had a pump, so i can pump the amount i need out, instead of pouring it and getting way too much out. Overall, it is a decent drugstore foundation, but i just use this to cover up really red pimples and problem spots i have.
Went out to search for a new liquid foundation as I have been using sheer cover powder for awhile and haven't used liquid foundation for quite awhile. I've heard good things about Revlon overall but haven't tried much by them until I got the foundation.
I have to say, it was just an average experience for me. There wasn't really anything special about it. It goes on much like every other liquid foundation I have tried. I don't think it lasts very long. By the time half the day is over it's mostly already off of my face even when I used a primer underneath.
I wouldn't really recommend this product to anyone because of this reason. It gives good coverage, but only for a short amount of time so if you want something temporary it's ok, but for long-term it's not a very good product.
Alright... So, I bought the Revlon Colour Stay Foundation with Soft-flex technology and SPF 15 for Normal to dry skin in the "110 Ivory" shade. For my taste, the product is a little difficult to get out of the bottle without it all coming out at once, but that's a minor issue. Overall it's an okay product, but I don't like buying things that are on par.
Some things I liked about the product;
-It has a generally nice smell, it smells like makeup but it doesn't smell... old?
-The packaging is adorable. I like the way the lid is black and clear.
-The labels are easy to read, there's a warning about avoiding your eyes.
-The bottle is pretty sturdy, I've dropped it a few times (while closed, thank goodness) onto the carpet in my bedroom and no breaking, I doubt it would stand up to hardwood or tile, but it's a plus for me.
Some things that I didn't like;
-This product may be for normal to dry skin, but it made my whole face feel like an oily mess.
-Even after setting it with a powder, it still looks a bit off.
-It's streaky and doesn't blend that well.
-It's difficult to get out of the bottle without making a mess.
--The inside of the lid is a mess, and stuff like that bugs me, I'm not sure if it bugs anyone else, but I thought I'd throw it in there.
Note;
I'm not sure if I even need to say this, but this product applies much better with a brush rather than those disposable sponge applicators.
I'm glad that some other people seem to be able to use it to their liking. Not every makeup is for every person. I'm definitely not "in love" with this product but I don't think I hate it. The shade doesn't 100% match my face, but that's my problem, not the company's. I'm going to finish the bottle, using a face powder over top that matches my tone a little better and then it doesn't look so ashy on my face.
I would recommend buying this product if you absolutely need foundation and your fave is out of stock, otherwise, probably not so much.
:D
