I've recently received the Revlon Crazy Shine To Go Nail Buffer, and it's not bad.. it's very portable and very cute!!! the product does work but its too bad that it doesnt last long :( it gives off a nice shine but i wish it would last longer... because it wears off, i have to buff every few days or so to make it shine again.. therefore its not bad, i love the portability of it! its so adorable
The Revlon Crazy Shine To Go Nail Buffer is great thing in concept. A little two sided buffer that leaves nail extra shinny! Sounds good to me! However the results that are achieved are NOT worth the added cost of this product.
I tested the product on the bare nail of one hand, leaving the other untouched for comparison. After the first test (a little buffing then the shine applied) I could barely see a difference. While there was some shine visible, you cold really only notice it in direct light. Even in full sunshine I would say the difference between my normal nails and the treated nails was only noticeable if you knew to look.
Upon second test, I decided that I should put a bit more effort into the buffering step to insure as smooth a nail as possible. After some time buffing the nails, I applied the shine and the results were slightly better than before. My nails were visibly shiny, however they would not cause anyone to stop and say "wow, how did you get you nails so shinny?" I also had portions of my nails that looked damaged and white because the buffering had scratched on my nails.
In the end I would say there is really no reason to use this product again. Save you money and you time and buy a clear coat nail polish for faster, easier, more visible results.
I received the Revlon Crazy Shine to test from ChickAdvisor.
I have only had one opportunity to try this buffer, the shapes are cute and I know they are "purse size" but I found them a little small for my hands and not super easy to hold, BUT it did leave a nice shine on the toes I did
I do my nails weekly, so anything related to manicures I'm interested in trying. I do use nail buffers/shiners & looked forward to trying this tiny size, which was easy to use. 400% shinier? Bold claim, not sure where Revlon got that from, did it make my bare nails shinier, yes, definitely. My polished (after a few days) nails looked shinier also. But 400%? Hmmm... ?? The smoothing side won't last very long, it got dull after one use. I would only pay for these on sale for under $3.
I cannot say I was in awe by this product because it is just like any other buffer I've used in the past. However, the small size does make it more travel efficient and the cute designs definitely add to the products appeal. For me, it didn't totally give the "clear coat" shine it promised, but it did add a minimal amount of shine and made my nails slightly softer. I did not try it over nail polish, as I change my nail colour every two days, I don't need touch-ups or extra shine to get me through the week. I would recommend this to anyone look for a small, travel size buffer for someone on the run who doesn't have the time to constantly care for their nails. Thank you ChickAdvisor for the chance to review this product.
I received the Revlon's new Crazy Shine To Go Nail Buffer from Chickadvisor's Product Review Club to review . I must say, I was really excited about testing this product because I've always wanted to have a filer that gives me the effect of a top coat ! Well, I was somewhat dissapointed. Maybe because I wasn't using it correctly, but I had followed the instructions completely, and I was not satisfied with the results. It took me a long time to buff my nails until I even got the tiniest shine. And that shine certainly did not look 400% shinier than my normal nails. Overall, I would not repurchase this product again, because its too time consuming and the results aren't that great. As for lasting power, the shine went away in a day or so.
I received the Revlon Crazy Shine To Go Nail Buffer as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club!
I generally have thin nails that tend to peel quite frequently so I'm always in need of a good buffer. For me this wasn't anything spectacular. It doesn't work to even out my nails very well, but nothing but a good manicure seams to do that. A good buffing usually helps my nails to not peel as much, but I didn't see much of a difference from this buffer.
I do like the convenience of it though. you get two in a package and they fit nicely into even the smallest purse, so they are good on the go. They also do a pretty average job of shining nails, definitely not a "crazy shine". If you need to quickly buff or shine your nails, this will do a basic job. It's no better or worse than any other drugstore brand nail buffer.
Thanks Chick Advisor for letting me try the Revlon Crazy Shine To Go Nail Buffer!
