I received this product to review from ChickAdvisor. I love to decorate my nails, but have never owned a nail buffer. When I first received the email stating that I was chosen to try this product out, I stopped using my nail file, so I could test out how well this product works. The nail buffers are cute designs, and have fun patterns. The size is perfect for portability, and I now carry one in my purse at all times. The buffer smoothed out my nails efficiently, and make them instantly shiny. It looks like I have a clear coat of nail polish on, but I don't think it makes my nails 400% shinier. It does make the color more vibrant and glossy if used when nails are already painted. I did notice that some of my nail polish would mark up the patterned side. The glossy affect did fade within the day, so I do prefer applying a top coat instead. For instant or on-the-go solution, I will definitely be using this product. I would recommend this to my friend and family as a easy solution to keep their nails smooth and glossy.
The shape and size of the nail buffers are perfect. They are easy to hold and the shapes makes it easy to get around the nail. I also like that they are small and easy to store in your purse for when you need to buff your nails on the go. The shine was great on my nails but I found that it did not last very long. Overall I like this product and will continue to use it. Thanks chick advisor for letting me try them.
I thought these buffers were so cute! my daugther is 7 and trying to do her nails is like pulling teeth. When I pulled these out she was so impressed at the designs and how quick they worked! Within minnutes her nails were buffed, polished and ready to go! Definete buy!
My first thought when I received the package in the mail was that the buffers themselves were small, cute and definitely portable. I am rather lazy when it comes to taking care of my nails, so I was really excited to try out the Crazy Shine buffer. Once in a while I get the urge to polish, but for the most part I go bare nail.
I started off with using the green side of the buffer to smooth out my nails. Now my nails are quite bumpy and have a lot of damage to them. On my middle finger on my right had I have a particularly troublesome spot with a circular dent in the nail from where I almost stapled myself...yes, I am a klutz and accident prone and apparently like to attack myself with staplers, but luckily it didn't go right through the nail.
When I first used the buffer, I only did a light buffing before using the patterned side to check out the shine. I buffed and shined only my left hand so I could compare it to the right and I wish now I had taken pictures. The buffer did it's magic and my nails on my left hand looked like I was wearing clear polish. I'm not sure about the 400% shinier claim, but it definitely made my nails shiny and I was really pleased with the result for very little effort.
I found the shine does last approximately 2 days, but it is not as bright as it starts off as with repeated hand-washing and lotion, but it did last longer than I expected because I figured after washing my hands a few times the shine would go away despite the claim. If you notice the shine has faded it really only takes a couple seconds with the patterned side to touch up your nails.
While the shine may not last as long as they claim, the buffer certainly has helped smooth out my troublesome nails. The bumps and ridges aren't gone, but after using it a couple times it has certainly helped lessen the appearance of them. That definitely makes this product worth it for me, because I can stick it in my purse and take a few minutes while I'm on the bus and give my nails a good touch up. The only downside of the buffer I noticed was that after a few uses the patterned side squeaks when you use it.
I would certainly recommend this product for those people who aren't too fussed about nail polish, but would love to have a quick, easy way to give their nails a little TLC and a nice glossy look. I would purchase these in the future if they were around $4 maximum for the pair.
I was really shocked that this product worked to what it says. The shape of the product is very friendly for the hand, easy to hold. It made my nails very smooth and shiny in no time at all. I really enjoyed it and was for sure to tell alot of ladies at work about it.
This product was sent to me by ChickAdvisor to test and review. I was very excited to try these out since I am obsessed with nail art. I have always been intrigued by nail buffers but haven't gotten the chance to try them since I was skeptical of how effective they are.
I really liked the fun designs on the buffers and they are the perfect size to carry in your purse. After first use, my nails were very shiny and it was almost comparable to using clear polish. This is great to use when you don't have the time or patience to put on nail polish. I use nail polish all the time but it is recommended that nails get a break from polish once in a while so the buffers are a great alternative to keeping your nails looking shiny and healthy.
I did find that the shine wore off fairly quickly. After a day, my nails were dull again. I also used it to touch up my dull nail polish and it worked great but again the shine faded quickly. I would still probably repurchase this because it's good to have when you're on the good and need to touch up your nails quickly with minimal effort.
I received this to try from the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I found the nail buffer easy to use (if a little awkward to hold onto) and the results were pretty good! I tried it on nails with no polish and found the shine it gave to be a nice touch, giving my nails a little extra glam for very little effort. Over polished nails that were starting to lose their shine, it really helped revive it. Sure, the effects don't last too long but for the minimal effort and cost it's a nice quick touch to make your nails a little more shiny!
I received the Revlon Crazy Shine Nail Buffer for free as part of the review club, thank you btw :)
I was excited to finally get to try it out when it came in the mail. I had nail polish on my nails at the time, so I tricked my brother into letting me do a couple fingers. Worked great! He disliked how shiney his nails were, so I really couldn't wait to try my own!
Once I got to use it, I was a fan. I keep my nails pretty short, and painting can be a pain. But this product was great. Quick and easy, 2 steps. Leaving my nails pretty shiney for awhile! The colours and shapes are super cute, great touch. A little carrying pack would be very useful for tossing it back into the purse to keep handy, just an idea.
I really enjoyed using this product, and would go out and buy it for myself if the price is right. I'd say under $5 would be fair for this product.
:)
I must say, at first glance I fell in love with these - I received them as a trial from Chick Advisor and couldn't wait to try them as I have very weak, brittle nails. They are the perfect size to carry around with you which I do like - easy to pull out for a touch up at any time. They do help to give a nice shiny look to your nails when you don't have time to polish- I would say these are best for a woman on the go. That being said, the shine does fade as soon as you wash your hands or apply lotion.
The Revlon Crazy Shine To Go Nail Buffer is great thing in concept. A little two sided buffer that leaves nail extra shinny! Sounds good to me! However the results that are achieved are NOT worth the added cost of this product.
I tested the product on the bare nail of one hand, leaving the other untouched for comparison. After the first test (a little buffing then the shine applied) I could barely see a difference. While there was some shine visible, you cold really only notice it in direct light. Even in full sunshine I would say the difference between my normal nails and the treated nails was only noticeable if you knew to look.
Upon second test, I decided that I should put a bit more effort into the buffering step to insure as smooth a nail as possible. After some time buffing the nails, I applied the shine and the results were slightly better than before. My nails were visibly shiny, however they would not cause anyone to stop and say "wow, how did you get you nails so shinny?" I also had portions of my nails that looked damaged and white because the buffering had scratched on my nails.
In the end I would say there is really no reason to use this product again. Save you money and you time and buy a clear coat nail polish for faster, easier, more visible results.
