The shade range on these shadows is very good. There's something available in everything from cool tones to warm tones, very bright to very neutral. They typically come in a quad, with each shade complementing its neighbour.

The formula on these cream eyeshadows is very thick. I find that they're easiest to apply with a fingertip, and then later blended with a brush if need be. The problem is, as with many cream shadows with this type of consistency, they never really dry down, instead settling into the creases of the eyelid. I found I was constantly having to pat the product back down throughout the day, as it was just bunching up.

If you buy one of the paler shades, I think that it would be okay under the brow bone and/or in the inner corner with a light dusting of a shimmer shadow on top. These areas don't naturally have folds like the eyelid does, so the shadow has far less of a chance to crease in any way. Otherwise, I don't feel that these are worth it. They may have been decent for their time, but better formulas have since come out.

I really like Revlon Illuminance Creme Eyeshadows! I have frequently purchased this product, as I love the brown, neutral creme eyeshadows; however, I always find that I use one colour more than another and run out of that colour first! I always end up being forced to purchase another package because I have run out of the two lighter shades!

I think that these are pretty good cream eyeshadows, but I also think that there are better cream eyeshadows out there. It would also be better to have more matte options. I like that these are really versatile to use, you can use them under eyeshadow, or as eyeshadow alone (though I find that they don't last as long this way) The lighter colors can also be used as a highlight. For people with drier eyelids, I think this could also be used as a cream liner, set with eyeshadow.

I like the free eyeshadow, only thing is it usually doesn't last to long, and I find I have to re-apply it to my eyes a few times during the day. Really wish it lasted longer.

This eye shadow is "OK". I recently purchased this at Shoppers Drug Mart on sale (2 for $15), so the price was fabulous. I found the colour was bright, and it applied nicely - but it creased up a lot on me. I also found that the wear of the shadow wasn't very long, and I had to reapply half way through my day. I wouldn't purchase again.

I bought this several months ago and have gotten a lot of use out of it. I have the Moonlit Jewels palette, which is quite nice with a light tan/earth tone shimmer, a navy blue shimmer, an emerald green shimmer and what looks like a wine colored shimmer in the palette but applies more like a medium brown shimmer. These are not frosty, they have more of a pearl finish which is very nice.

My main purpose in purchasing this palette was to use them as somewhat inexpensive eye shadow bases in multiple colors, which they work extremely well for. Powder shadows really stay put on top of these and I have had no problems at all with creasing, even in the summer. They are super creamy, apply evenly without patching on the skin, and work under pretty much any eye shadow color as they are pigmented, but not overly so. They don't compete with your powder shadow because they are not screaming colors and they don't have the god-forsaken glitter in them that so many products now do. But they work really well to enhance them with their smooth pearlescence.

A little goes a long way with these, thankfully, as there is not much of each color. The 4 of them total 3.4 grams. That would be .12 ounces. Approximately a tenth of an ounce?? Seriously, Revlon?? Pathetic amount of product, really. They have lasted me this long, though, so obviously it's not something you run out of overnight.

The case is great, especially when buying, as you can see the real color through the little plastic bubble windows on one side, and on the other side - a very nice surprise when I opened it - a high quality mirror which spans the entire length and width of the case. Love that.

Would I use them alone? Unlikely, and never have. I doubt they would stay put all day without powder shadow as they don't 'set' as many other cream shadows do, however, that is a good thing as it gives me more time to work putting my powders overtop and blending them out after applying the creams. I actually prefer these over my Makeup Forever cream shadows, believe it or not. Hopefully next time I'll be able to get them on sale as they are fairly pricey for a drug store product with so little product in the actual package. As much as I like these, I doubt I would pay full price for them again. Revlon should be selling these in packages like the MAC's Paint Pots come in, one color a pot. I would be willing to pay $10 for one in that case simply because I'd be getting a lot more product for the money.

What I like about cream shadows is the fact that they glide on smoothly and they are very easy to blend with. With cream eye shadow though, you tend to get creasing and flaking off as the day wears on. It is best to layer your cream shadow with a light, sheer powder shadow.

I really like this set of cream shadows, I have the set of orange, blue, light yellow and green but they also come in a whole bunch of bright popping colours, it was hard to choose just one. At 10 dollars for a set, they aren't expensive but they are more than other cream shadows from the drug store.

I think these shadows are just a ton of fun to experiment with. I love the light blue, I have only attempted to wear it more sheer but I might try and use it witha dark blue for something dramatic. Another great ting for the shadow is that I use the light yellow as a primer on my eyes to help set a powder shadow.

I have bought quite a few of the Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow because I like the creme shadows for playing with colours and mixing things, but also because they offer colour choices that compliment each other. As I said the colours blend well together if you like to play around with shading, and more smoky looks.

My issue with the product and maybe it's the same for all creme eyeshadows is after a few hours I find they clump a bit in the eyelid crease. Which I don't tend to see cause you can't see your eyes, but makes me a little self conscious to think people around me might notice these creases when I'm out and about.

All in all it's a product I would recommend if you are looking for a lower cost product that you want to use to sharpen your make up application skills and play around with a great colour spectrum! They go on easy and look great :)

I purchased the Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows in Precious Metals and Skin Lights. When I saw that they provided 4 cream shadows in one, I not only thought it was economical, but also convenient for creating many eyeshadow looks. These make a great base for your powder eyeshadows (I also put a primer on the lid prior to applying the cream shadow). The colors go on smoothly and blend out well. Some of the colors are more sheer than others and there are a few shades that do not contain any shimmer. I find the shimmer to be subtle enough and it does not interfere with the powdered eyeshadow you put on top of it.
Without a primer on the lid, these cream shadows tend to crease (however, I haven't yet found a cream shadow that doesn't), but when I applied the primer, it seemed to stay put. These are also convenient if you do not have a lot of time in the morning and want to look put together and presentable. Just a swipe on the lid and you can perk up your look in an instant. However, just make sure you blend it in very well. The colors are great for everyday use.
These did not irritate my eyes and the products have been lasting me quite a while. You really don't need very much on the lid for the regular shadows to grab onto. I would consider buying this again.

I have this in both wild orchids (lavender, purples) and precious metals. I like how easy they are to apply and the shimmery colours. They are very blendable, which I really enjoy. I find that with 1 or 2 applications, it's a very nice day time look and with more applications, the richer the colour, it becomes a night time look. The downside is that even after I use my make up remover and my face wash, there can still be glitter on parts of my face. It is a very affordable and easy to use eyeshadow.
