It stains, but not for as long as it claims. It lasts for a few hours (like 3 or 4) without needing touch ups. Especially with darker colours.
However, the balm is nice because I only have to carry one product with me.
I also like the range of colours.

I recommend this to everyone. It last for 12-24 hours and actually does stain. I can do my regular tea routine and not worry if it comes off. The balm is also perfect for everyday without the stain. It makes your lips really soft and I think this is best for people who are testing out new colours and like a light look.

I much prefer the Kissable lipstain balm crayon. This one applies as a thin liquid stain, and it stings! The colour is less buildable...it goes on very dark and patchy and if not applied carefully has a tendency to bleed. It is very drying and the balm on the opposite end is not hydrating enough to compensate. It wears off unevenly so the outer part of your lips stays dark and stained, but on the middle area the colour disappears completely.

Best lipstain I've found at this price point. It stays put but isn't overly drying. The balm that goes with it is great over top or by itself and the colour "Gothic" is the perfect red for me!

The stain does not last very long and the application is difficult to apply without leaving uneven tones.

I have been trying lip stains for a while by different brands and hadn't been successful. I love wearing colour on my lips but I always end up accidentally smudging them etc. So I much prefer the idea of a stain that stays long all day. All the other ones I have tried would dry my lips out so much pieces would chunk off. BUT Revlon's is fantastic, doesn't do that at all and it comes with a nice, smooth balm you can reapply all day in case. The line also comes in tons of lovely pinks, reds and purple tones that look great.
