Awesome drugstore red lipstick, good pigmentation, can be a bit drying on the lips.

I was scared to venture into the "red lips" territory given that I've seen other girls with dried out, bleeding past lip line, or worse yet, smudging onto teeth lipsticks! After reading a few reviews about this product and finding it on sale at the nearby drug store, I decided to give it a try. I thought to myself "What's the worst thing that could happen right - it's only $5." I decided to give it a try after I exfoliated my lips with a damp toothbrush. The colour is the perfect shade of red and online reviews said that it worked for every skin tone and it's so true. I slathered on 2 coats without liner or primer and waited to see how long it would last.....and I kept on waiting. It didn't smear or smudge or bleed - it didn't come off! I sat through dinner thinking, ok, I'll check again after eat. The red colour was still hanging on for dear life. After about 5 hours, the colour was still super rich but it felt a bit on the dry side so I reapplied. I'd highly highly recommend this lipstick for anyone who's afraid of commitment and wants to give the "perfect" red lipstick a try. I road tested for a wedding and left the tube of lipstick at home (read: rookie mistake) but I kept getting compliments the whole night AND it actually lasted more than 6 hours!!

I love this lipstick. I also have it in strawberry suede.
Revlon Colorstay is probably the closest o mac you can get at a drug store. The pigments in this are really strong and last a long time.

I went to a party recently, ate and drank and my lipstick lasted all night long without smudging. If you blot the first layer reapply and blot again it will stay put for hours.

A great and affordable lipstick.
