I used this foundation a couple of years ago, for a while. I wasn't very makeup conscious back then so I continued to buy it because I thought the price was good and I knew Revlon was a good brand.
It's only now that I use different foundations that I realise how bad this product worked on my skin. When I applied it I got little coverage on my scars and blemishes which is the most important thing I look for in current foundations I buy, so it would need to be built up a lot to get a reasonable coverage.
After wearing this for about 3 hours it had started to slide off my face and make my t zone look very dry. I must admit, this foundation is good when taking photos, but who wants photos when scars and blemishes are noticeable?
I don't think this is great for everyday wear, but it is good for a night out, or photos. The microshimmer in this really helps to blur out the imperfections in the skin in photos, but it makes you look like a disco ball in the sun-light. To wear this everyday, I usually only use it as a highlight, and blend it out with another foundation.
not really a huge fan of this foundation. i find that matte foundation is what typically photographs best, but this stuff was full of shimmer. no matter how much i applied or how i applied it, i found that it looked blotchy and uneven, and made my face look like a disco ball in front of the camera. i was really expecting great things after hearing all the hype, but i'm truly very disappointed.
I actually really liked this foundation EXCEPT for the little glittery bits! There is much debate as to the shimmer being noticeable or not and that it's a matter of preference, to me I could see the speckles of glitter all over my face so this is a no go.
I liked everything else about this foundation. The coverage was about medium but buildable. I never experienced any caking (I like my foundation pretty light to begin with). I loved the pump bottle it was very accurate. The color was even a good match!
Overall, I would've loved this foundation had it not been for the glitter. The price is a little steep but it is coming down in price since it is no longer "new" and there are always sales.
i found initially it covered well, but by the end of the day it was worn off and oily. its ok for short times to sum it all up.
I have mixed feelings about this foundation. I thought that the coverage was very good. However, while the color match was great, I thought that this foundation was anything but natural looking. I did not like the shimmer during the day. I thought that it actually accentuated the look of my pores (they looked bigger and more obvious to me). However, I was more pleased with the look of this foundation at night.
I was very excited to buy this product, because I had seen some review online about it. I thought I could use it as a cheaper option to my NARS sheer glow foundation, and the Makeup Forever HD foundation. So I went to the drug store and purchased it wish grandiose ideas. BOY was I wrong. ...but it's not all bad
The positives:
-good colour match to my skin tone (Tan)
-nice texture
-easily blendable
-the packaging is cute, love the pump
-no perfume-like smell
The cons:
-THE SPARKLES!
Come on, do they think I want to look like a disco ball. OMG, its very deceptive, at first you don't notice it, but when you got into sunlight your face ends up sparkling like a diamond. I mean alone maybe it can be pulled of, but add some shimmery bronzer/blush, highlighter, or even eyeshadow, and you will look like you belong as a light fixture in a club!
I had high hopes for this foundation, and now it sits in the back of my drawer collecting dust!
Well...I have got to say that I'm dissapointed with the results of this makeup! I love Revlon products and everything i have ever used by Revlon (until this foundation) that is! The makeup is way too white no matter how dark of a shade you get. Comes off too! Not to mention the powder is the same. Would so not recommend it
