Meh

I chose the Rich Kid coconut oil gel as one of my free samples from my Sephora order. I read the reviews and saw many positive stories and was super excited to try it on my own dead and frizzy hair. I took a shower and used the product after I towel dried my hair. I ripped open the package and found the product to have almost like a chemical smell. I was expecting something with more of a coconut smell but that did not seem to be the case. I read some reviews which said not to use a whole lot of product in which most reviewer's stated that they only used a pea sized amount. So I did just that and woke up the next day with extremely greasy hair. My hair is quite short so I thought that maybe was the problem but unfortunately when I showered and tried it again the second time with less product I had the same greasy results. It also made my hair feel really gritty and it almost seems like I had more knots. On Sephora it says that the product is intended to replenish and moisturize dry damaged hair. For $35 a bottle I definitely think there are cheaper alternatives that will not make such a greasy mess of my hair. I would not recommend this product to anybody and was really disappointed.
