this is the best! its the only one i buy. its very light- you cant even tell youre wearing it, and it looks soooo natural, it hides your blemishes but lets your natural color show through. it also lasts ALL DAY, for those times when you go from work to your house to change clothes and out for a night on the town
I absolutely love this foundation! This foundation is perfect for me, as i see the ratings arent so awesome from other peoples experiences but it all depends on the person and what type of skin you have, everyones got different taste for how something looks and feels. I apply this everyday it gives me that perfect touch. I do not have oily or dry skin so if your reading this and have the same kind of skin as me i definately reccomend you to use this and i hope that you are as happy with it as i am!
I use the soft beige shade (200).
I use a makeup sponge to apply this product and find it spreads well with an average-sized amount. Coverage is mediocre, however. In terms of the "stay matte" claim, they may as well throw that out the window -- this product is no better for reducing shine than any other foundation I've tried. As far as the clarifying claim, I don't think this product has any stellar ability to prevent or remedy breakouts.
I also got a Fix & Perfect foundaiton primer as a bonus with my purchase. Honestly, I feel that this step could be skipped entirely. I can't say that there were noticable skin-smoothing or pore-minimizing effects as claimed, and especially not enough to justify putting a whole other layer on my face.
I would definitely not recommend this foundation for people with dry skin. It made my skin flaky and even more dry, even though I applied a lot of moustrizer beforehand. This foundation is only good if you have an excellent moisturizer. I'd recommend it for people with oily skin because it's oil free. The colour that I got is in 100 Ivory but I still found it to be a bit too dark on my skin, so if you're pale you should avoid this foundation. It doesn't blend well with a brush, it get's too cakey, so I prefer to blend it with my fingers instead. As for the coverage, I'd say it's light-medium. With a small amount used I find that it covers up redness pretty well. I most likely would not buy this foundation again.
This foundation is supposed to be for oil prone skin. I usually use Lancome but I've been low on cash so I wanted to try something a lot cheaper. Since I have oily skin, I wanted to try Rimmel Stay Matte, because it was oil free and claimed to keep shine to a minimum.
For the price, it wasn't terrible. I like that it is oil and paraben free and has salicylic acid in it. It is more matte than most other regular foundations I have used, but it didn't feel as light on my skin. It did keep shine down and didn't make me break out, however, it didn't give good coverage (it didn't cover any blemishes really). It didn't have a huge selection of colours so the shade I bought is slightly too dark for me.
I'd reccommend this if you're one of those people who doesn't need much coverage but still needs a little shine control, i can see it working perfect for that, but if you have blemish marks you need to cover up you might wanna go with something else.
