I had very high expectations for this product seeing as everyone raves about it but I found that it made my skin look kinda fuzzy and it clung to my dry patches. I have very dry skin so I would not recommend it for women with dry skin.
Well, it didn't make my face less oily than other powders. I have very oily skin snd this just didn't do thd job for me.
My sister bought me this for me to try since it's what she uses mostly. Since, I have the redness and sunspots, I've tried many things. It did cover it up, but made my face feel tight and it settled in some of my wrinkles.
Before this powder, everything I tried left me looking like a giant grease pile. With this, my fave status matte for the entire day!
It keeps my face matte and controls my shine& it applies very evenly with little to no effort. Use the buff beige shade, and it matches my skin tone perfectly. absolutely love this product. great for the price too!
''012 buff beige'' , I absolutely have fallen in love with this pressed powder, not only does it match my skintone to a T, but it's a GREAT price, and the quality is fan-friggin-tastic!, Now the effectiveness is the downfall, as you read the back it says ''up to 5 hours natural shine control'', which is pretty close to having to ''re apply'', Which I find annoying, but for the quality? I'll take a couple touchups!
This is my first pressed powder that I have used, and after trying Rimmel London's, I do not need to look elsewhere! It does what it promises. It keeps my face matte and controls my shine, and it applies very evenly. It is quite lightweight which is perfect for allowing my freckles to still show.
I decided to try this product because I had recently purchased the Rimmel Stay Matte BB Cream and the Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation, and thought that completing my set would work best for my look.
I will review the other two products soon enough, but I wanted to begin with the powder simply because in the summer months, I was pretty much only using the powder.
In my opinion, the powder is one of those products you can spend money on because its price tag is not hefty at all. I got mine for 5$ on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart. It does apply very finely, and it is effective in helping you stay matte, however, it needs to be reapplied and also does not come in a variety of shades (only 6 that I saw). And even then, they don't seem to vary in colour range.
That said, the quality of the powder, I believe combined with talc and mica, had a nice soft smooth feeling to it and went on evenly.
So I while I can't say all great things, I can't say all bad either.
There were some positives to this, like the price and the quality, but the effectiveness wasn't spot on.
it doesn't give me a cakey finish, its affordable, in my opinion its like a dope of mac's press powder
I absolutely love this powder for setting my under eye concealer and foundation! The price is amazing and the product does exactly what it says, keeps your face looking matte and beautiful. I use this just about everyday now.
