So in love

Growing up, I developed a serious love for marzipan. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's almond paste. When I found out about this chocolate bar, I knew I had to try it and I don't regret it one bit. It's the perfect combo of chocolate and marzipan. It's sweet without being overly sweet and you can find it litterally anywhere!! Love it 😍

Affordable vegan dark chocolate

Ritter Sport Marzipan is accidentally vegan. They don't market this product as vegan but the ingredients are completely vegan. Taste wise, it is up my alley because I love dark chocolates that are on sweeter side. The taste might be too sweet for hardcore dark chocolate lovers.
The packaging could be better because there is a single plastic cover, I prefer a double layered packaging which comes in handy for storage, anyway, I eat the whole thing in one go (#fatvegan) and if you are like me then you will love this chocolate too.
The texture is quite creamy and the Marzipan filling is very delicate.
The best thing about this Chocolate is that I can find it at Walmart, shoppers drug Mart and small convenient stores.
Vegan and non vegan alike should checkout this dark chocolate.

If you love marzipan..

This chocolate can be found at Metro. They are quite expensive but occasionally you can get them on sale for a descent price. The chocolate exterior is quite thick and it is a dark chocolate. The dark chocolate is not bitter in any way and it is really smooth. There is a good amount of marzipan in every square of chocolate. The marzipan is rich and flavorful. It has a bit of a more crumbly texture than a perfectly smooth marzipan but I felt that sort of added to the texture of the whole bar. All flavors work very nice together.

Sweet Almond Paste & Bitter Dark Chocolate Combo

I'm a huge fan of marzipan; I could eat it alone by the spoonful, if that were possible. To me, marzipan tastes like a sweet, sticky almond candy paste. The Ritter Sport bar provides a healthy amount of marzipan, allowing the almond extract flavour to really come through. The marzipan is a bit drier and crumblier than others I've tried. The marzipan is coated on both sides by decadent bitter dark chocolate. The combination of the bitter dark chocolate and the sweet marzipan create an explosion of flavours in your mouth.

The downside is this bar can be quite expensive, but you can find a sale if you lookout long enough.
