My go-to lip rejuvenator!
This has been my go-to lip salve for years. I can’t go to sleep unless I’ve put a nice layer on my lips before bed. Rosebud Salve keeps my lips moisturized and healthy. I use it every night to rejuvenate my lips while I sleep - it works so well I rarely need to use lip balm during the day. I highly recommend this product to all of my friends with dry lips.
Like the Effectiveness Not the Ingredients
I love the effectiveness of the product, but I hate that it has petroleum in it. It is basically over-priced Vaseline. I am really disappointed about the ingredient list. It should be cleaner, we are in 2019 guys. You need to step up your game!
That scent though....
This stuff is essentially glorified Vaseline. It feels the same as Vaseline on the lips and has the same texture in the tin. There is nothing wrong with Vaseline mind you so thats not a negative. Its just that I can buy a gigantic tub of Vaseline for $3 or a small tin of this stuff for $9. However, I have repurchased this a few times and will probably always have a tin on me. Why? The smell. I just love the smell. It is a nostalgic scent to me that makes me think of happy times. Rosy, slightly powdery, like a perfume my grandmother might have worn in the 1940's. It is moisturizing and I do enjoy using it as a lip balm and cuticle balm but if you don't care for the scent, pick yourself up a tub of Vaseline for a fraction of the price and you will have a product that works just as well.
Best salve ever
I don't know what I would do without my Rosebud salve tin. It is the best lip moisturizer I have ever used. I literally have 3 extra tins tucked away in a drawer for future use. I apply it all over my lips every night and wake up with a soft smooth pout. It smells lovely as well, subtle hint of rose scent and colour too. Best ever, five stars!
It works!
I have tried one too many lip balms but have to say that the rosebud salve has definitely been the most effective one. Other lip balms either don't keep my lips hydrated or will make my lips peel too much, leaving them dry again. With this, my lips feel smooth for a while. It may not be the absolute best on the market for someone with extremely dry lips though.
You'll never by a lip balm again
I've had my Rosebud for 2 years now and it works wonders! It's multipurpose as a lip balm, sutbly perfume and a moisturizer all while fitting into your coat pocket. It's subtly scent makes it perfect for sensitive skin like mine while still being effective. For the time it's last and kept its qauility it's worth the cost any day!
That smell
I love this lip balm. I use it on dry patches and my cuticles also not only my lips. This product feels ao nice on the lips and smells amazing. Its nice and amooth and not too thick
Lip goals; achieved.
So, I am actually guilty of owning approximately 9000 tubes/tins/etc of lip balm/gloss.
HOWEVER..this one is by far my favourite.
I actually own it in strawberry, peppermint, as well as the original rose version, but the strawberry version is my usual go to.
It goes on smooth without feeling greasy or tacky, retains lip moisture, and allows my lips to actually stay plump and soft even under a dark matte lipstick (I know!!!).
It stays put all night, and keeps my lips safe from my brutal -40 degree celcius candian winters (which is more than I can say for any other lip product I have ever tried, natural or otherwise).
A little goes a long way, so don't stress about leaving one in each purse or pocket, you're better off that way anyway!
I am on the fence about this product. I love the smell and it works great for cuticles, dry patches of skin. But I originally bought it for my dry, chapped lips. The first week of use, it felt incredible. Then my lips started to become more dry, even with increased usage. That's when I realized there is petroleum in it. Petroleum is a huge no no for my lips. It does not moisturize, yet rather is supposed to seal in moisture...which my lips were not getting. I can't see myself repurchasing this.
I use this every morning while doing my makeup, i'll apply it when i moisturize my face that way it has had time to sink it once i get around to doing my lipstick, it soothes and heals irritations, even burns (an added bonus is you can use it on dry elbows and knees too, not just meant for lips!!) worth the $7.50
