I was looking for a stand fan for the bedroom - so it had to be quiet and have a remote control. Tried several including a Weatherworks from Costco (moved a lot of air, but was noisy) and a Honeywell Quietsense - which was pretty good, but still had some additional noise that my hubby noticed. So decided to spring for the Rowenta - it is expensive, so try to catch a sale - it has a very heavy base, which makes it stable, and is very quiet. It has 4 speeds in all, 3 'normal' speeds and a seperate button for 'turbo', along with a simple remote control. As long as it holds up, it will prove to have been a wise investment.
