Keeping it Fresh!

I got to try the #RubbermaidFreshWorks Produce Saver as I #gotitfree. I used it for my strawberries and cucumbers. My fiancee and I have previously used regular tupperware containers to store our unused / partially cut up fruit and vegetables. We definitely noticed a difference with this Rubbermaid Freshworks container as it prevented the strawberries from molding or deteriorating too fast. It definitely helped to keep our fruits fresher for a longer period of time.

Very intrigued!

When I first heard about this product, I was really intrigued by it. How could a plastic box with a crisper tray and filter make a huge impact on the longevity of my fresh fruits and veggies? As someone who lives alone, I often have to be very mindful when it comes to buying fruits and veggies as they can go bad pretty quickly if not consumed within a few days of purchase. I would often be tempted by "buy two for $X" deals on boxes of berries, but then end up having to throw out the second box because they would just go bad before I could get to finishing them. With Rubbermaid FreshWorks, I don't have to worry about this anymore!

A couple of weeks ago, I bought two boxes of fresh strawberries, chucked one box in my Rubbermaid FreshWorks container unwashed (it fit perfectly) - and started eating strawberries from the store box. By the time I finished the first box, the berries were starting to get mushy and wrinkly. However, my Rubbermaid FreshWorks boxed strawberries looked as good as new! They continued to look and taste fresh for an entire week when I finished them a week later. Normally, if stored in the store box, they would look wrinkly and shrivelled at best - or mouldy and inedible by one week after purchase.

I'm really glad I was able to try Rubbermaid FreshWorks as it'll save me a lot of money in the long run!

It Works!

I'm so happy that I got the chance to try this product via Chick Advisor. I'm not sure if I would have purchased it before sampling it. I found that it did indeed keep my produce fresher longer than it normally is stored in my crisper drawer or the containers that they are sold in. The first time I used it I was so excited that I didn't read the instructions and I washed my berries before putting them in the container. It's advised NOT to wash your produce before storing it in the container and I found that following those instructions did make a difference and made my produce even fresher, longer. As someone who ends up wasting a lot of money from throwing out produce that goes bad this product is going to save me a lot of money in the long run. I #gotitfree for review purposes.

This is great!

I believe this product is to compete with IntelliFresh from Tupperware, which I don't possess but heard great things about. Well if you are looking for an alternative, this one is good! I used it with strawberries, and it did give them an extra boost, I would say they still looked great after an additional 3 days. Great product, robust and easily washable in the dishwasher. #gotitfree

I definitely recommend this for produce savings!

I was lucky enough to receive the Rubbermaid fresh works container for free. The fruit I chose to test was cherries. I always spend a small fortune on cherries every summer and they end up wilted, moldy and soft very quickly and it's such a waste of money. I put half the bag of cherries in the Rubbermaid fresh works container and left the remaining cherries in the bag they came in. Within two days I could already see a difference in the cherries in the container versus the ones in the bag. The ones in the container were perfect as the day I purchased them but the ones in the bag were starting to show signs of turning. I am definitely sold on this product! I will definitely be buying the largest size for my whole bag of cherries and many other fruits and veggies. I think this would make lunch prep very easy as I can pre cut up a bunch of apples and strawberries for my kids lunches then just pour them in a smaller container to put in their lunches for the week. If you are tired of your produce turning quicker than you can consume it, I highly recommend these Rubbermaid fresh works containers!

Great for keeping veggies fresh

I'm really happy that the Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver has a nice balance between price and quality.

Tres bon produit!

Tres bon produit que j'ai reçu gratuitement. Il garde vraiment les légumes et fruits frais. J'ai fait un test avec des légumes que j'avais préalablement coupés. Ils sont restés croquants pendant toute une semaine. Le prix est assez dispendieux pour un contenant cependant.

Well, I'm impressed..

I was chosen by ChickAdvisor to try the Rubbermaid Freshworks Produce Saver for free and I will say I'm fairly impressed with the results. When I got around to picking the container up I will admit, I don't necessarily have high hopes for these kind of things. Thought it was a cash grab, really, so I bought some strawberries to test it out with. Every single time we buy strawberries, they're pretty much gone bad within a couple days, they're one of our problemed produce... We are on day 7 of having them in there (had to leave one of two to see how long they'd last lol) and they look just as good as the day I bought them! It's also very easy to use, like effortless lol.. This mama is quite impressed! I think I may buy the smaller one to see how it does with raspberries! #gotitfree! Thanks for letting me try this wonderful product!

Keeps produce fresher, longer!

I was so excited to be selected to review the Rubbermaid Freshworks produce saver!

As a mom of young kids i always have fresh produce in my home. During the summer months, I often buy farm fresh local products. Although these taste better and are free from harmful chemicals, I also find sometimes this means we need to use the veggies faster so they don't wilt.

I tried this out with fresh spinach and I was amazed! My spinach usually lasts for 3 days tops, and after day 5 it was still fresh and green with no soggy spots! It was perfect as I could use it for lunches all week long.

I wish they had a few more sizes, but otherwise it is great, and id definitely recommend it!

Extended strawberries life

I really like the concept of this product. The quality of and the design is really nice. I tested with strawberries and it definitely made them last longer. With the summer and fruit being really ripe -- meaning you have to eat asap. This product was helpful to me in that I didn't have to worry about it spoiling.
The price is expensive for a container but if you consider what it does it is worth a bit more paying for.
