Absolutely amazing product

Thanks to ChickAdvisor I received a full price coupon for the new Rubbermaid Freshworks Produce Saver and I absolutely love it!

I'm not a big fan out tupperware type containers, they always end up lost at the back of my cupboard never to be seen again, with good reason, very few actually keep food fresh for long but this Rubbermaid container is amazing. I cannot tell you enough how well this product works at keeping produce fresh.

My family couldn't decide on what berries to test this with so I decided to try out something a little different, I bought peppers and stored them in the container. Usually food of any kind doesn't last any longer than a day in my tiny fridge before the food starts to get mushy, freeze or go bad but after a week in the freshworks container my peppers were still crisp like I had just bought them, a little dry on the edges I'll admit, but the container does say not to cut up your produce before storing.

So what is the secret that Rubbermaid has stumbled upon that keeps fruit and veggies so fresh? I'm guessing it has a little something to do with the freshvent lid and crisp tray.

Does everything it promised!

I am SO grateful that I was selected to try the Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver through ChickAdvisor! To be honest, I probably would never have tried this product otherwise because of the price. I mean, on the shelf it just looks like a really over-priced plastic container - but it's NOT!
I picked up my container and brought it home in the same trip where I bought some fresh strawberries that looked like they would be lucky to last the day (ripe and warm) - the perfect test. I ate a couple berries and put the rest in the FreshWorks container in the fridge and promptly forgot about them for 3 days. Amazingly, every single berry was still eatable when I went back for them. In fact, they seemed even nicer than the first day!I
I made myself leave some of the berries in the container and waited another few days -- STILL fresh and unchanged!!
Today has been 8 days and those last berries are still good - but I'm eating them anyway because this is getting ridiculous!
I'm heading to the grocery store this week to buy another larger container (or two) because my fridge always has tons of produce and way too much of it ends up in the compost due to spoilage from humidity. I think that the savings in food waste over a month will offset the price of the containers, easily!

This is a good product.

The Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver is a great product for storing fresh produce. The price was reasonable. My produce didn't spoil using this container, as opposed to leaving it in a plastic produce bag in the fridge. My only complaint about this product is the size. I got to try out the medium sized (6.3 cups / 1.5 L) container. In order to fit items such as celery, you have to cut them into pieces.

Works well, though not as good as the Tupperware ones

The container is well made and easy to use and understand. It's a little smaller than I was expecting it to be though (I got the medium size). It held one bunch of strawberries from the farmer's market but was very full. I also found it a little expensive (about $15). I left the strawberries in there for 7 days and at the end, they were still good, though not totally fresh. I had to throw out a few that had gone bad. Though, I'm sure it saved them more than if I had just left the strawberries in the container they came in. I've used the Tupperware produce saver containers before and found they do a better job than this. So, I

I tried to understand why should I pay so much money for a plastic box for fruits and vegetables !! I use to just throw all my veggies in plastic bags. Thanks to Chickadvisor Rubbermaid Freshworks Produce Saver campaign I found the difference !! I found the logic and hit clearer when I start using it , seeing that all my fruits and vegetables are staying fresh longer ! Everything that was bagged in two days I was throwing it but not from Rubbermaid !! I'm impressed and I have changed , no more plastic bags !! I was a bit hesitant to use this instead of my usual bags for salad and plastic containers berries already came in from the grocery store, I never thought it would make a difference but it DID!!

I meal plan and like to set aside berries and salads for lunch at work, I'm used to the lettuce leaves going a bit soggy three days in but really noticed that they were crunchy halfway through the week in the freshworks saver . The berries were still juicy too. This will definetly save me money since the food lasts longer.

There is a little vent in the lid that apparently regulates the flow of oxygen and carbon monoxide - keeping produce fresher longer . It works for sure and I'll keep on using it - I'll most likely add to the collection with a few more sizes - these will save you money in the long run!

Kept my berries fresh for 2 weeks

I recd these free and bought some blueberries and blackberries for my cereal. I was skeptical since I usually get the white, fuzzy thing happening after a few days in the fridge I hate wasting food but I don't usually eat the whole pint because if this. This really worked! I admit, I washed the fruit first even though it recommends not to. I can't waste time every morning washing the fruit. But, it still worked. I still have some left and they aren't the least bit moldy or mushy. Amazing! Thanks for the chance to try. I will get strawberries next time.

Keeps produce fresh

I was so happy to be selected for this campaign. I purchase strawberries frequently and they always go bad on me before I have the chance to eat them . It's very disappointing to have to throw out moldy strawberries every week .

I purchased the container from Walmart and used my free product coupon. Than I purchased strawberries . I opened my Rubbermaid freshworks container and placed my strawberries inside , and on top of the filter . Do not wash or cut your produce before placing inside to get the best results . After 1 week and 1 day, my strawberries look and taste exactly the same as the first day . There's no sign of them turning bad which is amazing ! Usually after 2 days my strawberries start to look bad .

Rubbermaid freshworks states that it will keep your produce fresh 80% longer versus store packaging. It has freshvent technology that regulates the flow of oxygen and dioxide . The crisptray helps keep moisture away from the produce so it doesn't go bad . And it works great ! It's dishwasher safe and BPA free .

The medium sized container is 6.3 cups and sells for $11.97 at Walmart . The container fit my whole package of strawberries perfectly . I was able to close the lid perfectly and create the seal . The smallest is 2.5 cups for $8.97. and the large is 17.3 cups at $1437. You can purchase the set on Amazon for $29.97.

This product is great because it works . It is a little expensive but after buying strawberries it will pay for itself because I won't have any food waste . I highly recommend this product .

Great quality, Worked as stated!

I received this product for free from @Chickadvisor and @Rubbermaid and I really like the concept of this product. The first thing you notice with this container is the quality of it. It is made of thick plastic and a well sealable lid. Its not a cheap manufactured lid as it seals very well and takes a bit of effort too close it, but not much still simple too use. I put strawberries in it for the first week and notice that they did actually keep ten times longer than just leaving them in the store bought package. I also tried spinach and lettuce and I could tell you that I was very impressed. My spinach was not wilted nor slimy as it usually does within 7 days and it was still crisp and perfect too eat.

It comes with a filter on the top that never needs too be changed. This filter regulates the airflow in and out of the container too naturally preserve your vegetables and fruits a lot longer. It also comes with a crisp tray at the bottle of the container and this will help the moisture from setting on your produce.

The only thing that I wish was different was the price. They are pretty expensive at 10-16$ just one container, depending on the size you choose. I have seen them onsale and they are more reasonable too purchase when they go onsale. I will be defiantly buying a couple more in a bigger size and defiantly recommend this product too others who want fresh produce for longer in the fridge.

Such a nice container!

I really liked this container. It is sturdy, good quality container. I love the innovative keep fresh vents. I can reuse this container over and over and it is at a good price to purchase. Easy to pack around and lid seals on tight and will not pop off easy like other types of food storage containers.
