I want more of these!

So I found these worked really well. I wasn't too impressed with the quality of them. They do feel cheap, even though they are a little pricey (for a container) BUT they do work. I used it for strawberries & I noticed a huge difference in the quality of freshness and how long they lasted. I'm sure I got triple the amount of time from them.

Actually works!

I first thought the product was just like any other plastic container to store food in. How was it supposed to extend the life of my produce?

I was proved wrong. The #RubbermaidFreshWorks produce saver extended the life of my raspberries; no mold, no soggy fruit. I'm impressed and can't wait to try it on my spinach as I find that's another piece of produce that likes to spoil quickly.

Freshness for a price

I was so lucky to get the opportunity to test this product. After I received my coupon I immediately bought my product at our local superstore. I had no Problem finding it but thought already that $12 was quite a price (Prices may vary depending on Province). At home I put it right to the test with the fresh mushrooms I bought. So I put half of them in the Produce Saver and left half of them in the brown bag in the "crisper" of my fridge.

Admittedly in regards of looking fresh, the Produce Saver definitely wins this challenge unfortunately there is a big downside. I believe the moisture in the container is just too much so that my mushrooms which is a fungus, started to develop another fungus, namely mold. Just a hard to see fine haired one but that does not make it better. You might even be able to spot in on the first picture. The other two pictures show the difference in freshness.

I am sorry to say that this product has not convinced me yet but I will try again with other produce to verify this result and if anything changes update my review.

I managed to score this item from chick advisor for free to test it and try it out, the price is a little on the high side however I really like this product and I would purchase this again in the future

Finally a storage container that works

I was so excited to receive my #RubbermaidFreshWorks container from @ChickAdvisor. I #gotitfree for being an active member of their product review club. I throw out hundreds of dollars worth of fruits and vegetables every year. I go shopping and have all the best of intentions. I want to eat well and purchase lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, but by the time the end of the week arrives I am throwing most of them away in the garbage. This frustrates my husband and especially when certain times of the year fresh produce can be very costly. After redeeming my free product coupon at Walmart, it took me a few days to find some nice fresh strawberries to put to the test. As per the instruction card that comes with every Rubbermaid Fresh Works container you simply remove your produce from it's original container and place it in the Fresh Works container. Do not cut or rinse items before you place them in. It has a built in freshvent filter that never needs to be replaced. (LOVE THIS!) So I kept half the strawberries in the store packaging and moved the other half into the Rubbermaid container. Placed them both in the fridge and waited 5 days. The proof is in the pictures. The strawberries in the store container started turning black and moldy. The ones in the Freshworks container fared much better. They were just starting the get soft but no mold and no black spots. I love this product and will be investing in more of them. I love that the filter will last the lifetime of the container and that every single part of it is dishwasher safe. Bonus! If this is going to same me from throwing out food every week it is definitely worth purchasing. Thank you @ChickAdvisor and @Rubbermaid.

Took a few weeks for stores near me to carry these but I have been pleasantly surprised by how well these worked. Gives me a few extra days of crips veggies

Surprised!

I tried out the medium produce saver and I'm surprised with how well it worked! Our pint of strawberries lasted at least a week longer than it would have otherwise. They stated fresh and didn't get mushy or mouldy! Only downside, they are a bit expensive!

Save that summer produce!

How many of us start out with good intentions, buying fresh summer produce, only to find it wilted and less-than-appetizing, languishing in the bottom of the fridge? Saved our freshly picked strawberries!

I was excited to try the Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver. We buy a lot of strawberries and it's always disappointing when they go bad before you have finished the container. Recently we went strawberry pickiang and brought home tons of strawberries. We were on our last batch and they were starting to look very sad and on their way to rotting. I stored them in the Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver and their life was extended for a couple more days. I'm excited to see how other types of produce stays fresh in the Produce Saver.
