Favourite Base Coat!

I always wear polish, and this is my go-to base coat - I never do my nails without it! SH's Diamond Strength Hardener keeps my nails from being stained by coloured polish, and also seems to prevent natural yellowing almost completely for me, so I can get away with clear polishes when I don't have time for a full manicure. I cannot comment fully on whether or not it strengthens the nail plate, but it definitely helps protect the nail from damage.

Just bought this and put it on for the first time last night. So far I like it; not hoping for a miracle but I think it will make my nails a little harder. It looks nice too, I put on two coats.

My nails are very brittle and after using Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Instant Nail Hardener for only a week, I noticed a huge difference. They were a lot stronger and looked great. Will keep using for sure!

I purchased this nail polish to use as both a base coat and just to wear inbetween painting my nails. I often found that my nails peeled and/or broke but when using this product I do notice a significant difference. My nails grow longer because they are breaking less. It adds a great shine to my naked nails. I do find that the polish itself chips/peels off easily which can be a bonus when using it as a base coat because the darker polishes are easier to remove but can also be a hindrance because it causes my fresh nail colour to chip early.

I love this. It really helped to stop my nails from peeling and bending, which made them look sooo much nicer.

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Hardener is a product I picked up after asking around on Twitter for recommendations on nail-hardening products that would enable me to keep my nails longer. I subject my nails to a good 40-50 hours of keyboard usage per week, plus plenty of household work, so it’s not common for them to wind up breaking once they get a little beyond the edges of my fingertips.

Well, I am happy to report that thanks to Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Hardener — which applies and can be used just like a base coat — I haven’t had any issues with my nails breaking in almost two months! Just one coat of the Diamond Strength Hardener makes my nails visibly stronger, and they definitely feel stronger – they don’t have the flex and give (and flake and crack and chip) that they do even with 2-3 coats of regular base coats and nail polish.

I have been using Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Hardener for years now as a top coat. It seems to help my nails from splitting, cracking and peeling. It also strengthens my nails so that they don't break as easily as when I have nothing on my nails. Since this nail hardener strengthens my nails they have a better chance at growing within a week. I mean noticeably growing. The reason why I use it as a top coat is because it dries fast and adds a beautiful shine to my painted nails. I think I paid about $7.50 at the drug store. Well worth the price. I have been very happy with my nails with this product.

Amazing product! Would definitely recommend others to purchase this item as well! I've used this product several times already and it's the best thing ever! I don't think other products similar to this one can even compare to Sally Hansen's product!! I would for sure purchase this item again in the future! Hope others will get a chance to purchase this product and try it for themselves as well!

So I bought this product because my nails were brittle once upon a time and they kept chipping. I was hoping to outgrow them, so I started investing in these.

This hardener actually works. When you put it on, your nail actually gets much harder. For me, my nail did not chip that much. You can use it as a base coat or you could use it as just a clear nail polish. It has shine and it comes in a half moon shaped container with a long handle. Well, mine does anyway.

Oh, and it dries really quickly, so no worries about smudging clear polish.

I like it better than others, but they still chip. So, I can't really say much about it.
